Rp - Gavel's Darkest Hour- Act Two Begins [7/7]

"She's given up on us. She's planning to use the first one she finds. Oh sweet Garahah, they still have Ahmsanc scrolls! Uh, what should we do? She could die!"

You find a quiet alley in the North side of town and change into the black robes. They feel almost weightless and have elaborate stitching on them, certainly much higher quality than your standard-issue Gylia robes. You think you see a black coattail out of the corner of your eye, but can't confirm anything. You still have plenty of time in Cinfras before Esmé's show starts.

 

I go generally exploring the town

 

*sigh*
"Ok honestly it seems like coming here might've been a mistake...Let's jsut head to upper rodoroc ourselves. We can't very well get back down safely so there's not much we can do. Anyway she's not the headmaster for nothing, she should be able to take care of herself."

 

I follow, as fast as I can.

 

"Two silver but for 7 emeralds."

Then I offer you some of mine. As I said, the great part about simple things.

Turn around as well and sit facing that direction. Eat the cake.

Sorry about the short break, personal stuff.

She grimaces behind her at you. "Not if she ends up in Ahmsanc, that's a one-way trip to the Void. Or even Rodoroc. Even she can't face a whole city herself. Let's just hope she doesn't do anything too stupid."

Yes you can. I assume you're going to find Doushoins now?

As you head towards the centre of town, you see a Dogun materialise in the main square. She's carrying an enormous stack of what seems to be teleportation scrolls and a fire wand, and seems to be an Obsidian - she has the distinctive purple-black skin you've heard about. "Uh, excuse me, can anyone here read Dwarven runes?," she calls to the busy streets. You can - it's something they teach at Gylia.

"Well, I can't exactly argue with you. 7 it is.", he says, placing the emeralds on the counter.

With all your belongings and less-than-ideal speed, you can't quite keep up with him. He reaches into his ring and uses a spell to pull you behind a rock with him. "I was saving this for an emergency. If Sord knew how to operate this ring he'd kill me over it. Come on, where is it!?"

 

"well again nothing we can do about it, lets just go"

 

I approach the dogun and say "I can"

 

"Oh, great", she says. "Uh, can you find which one of these leads to Maex?". She passes you the stack of scrolls. Most of them scatter about the square and several blow away. All of them have written on them the names of cities in Dwarven runes. They're all in a rather gothic font that you can't read very well, so it takes you a while. You see Cinfras, Thanos, Ahmsanc, Olux, Kandon-Alpha,-
"Please hurry!", she shouts. Guards are approaching, clearly suspicious. You notice Siatun amongst them, who looks somewhat excited.

 

Sure.

I get up and help Rin up, cleaning my hands in any nearby water source I can find to then get the robes.
"Off we go."

 

You run to the corner, where you find a staircase. She runs up it, and you come to the top. It's a sorry sight, what was clearly once a great city is dotted with lava rivers from the nearby volcano. You notice a group of tents nearby.

 

I put the ones that aren't Maex to the side and continue looking

 

"do you know where the dogun settlements are?"

 

...Suinos, Karoc, Lezupret, Gylia,
Siatun knocks the remaining scrolls out of your hands. "What's going on here then? Where did all these come from?"
He picks one up off of the floor, clearly labelled Maex.
