Im bad in making cool graphics and formatting

 

just use some random text website, thats what i did

plus shops dont even need cool graphics, for the first few months my was purely formatting

 

There's text websites that pretty much do all the formatting for you, and as lego said, you really dont need fancy graphics. Just list your items and give links, and just keep the shop active and updated.

People aren't gonna want to start up a group shop just so someone else can freeload without doing any work, not being rude, but thats how it is.

Every page here is based on BBcode. If I may, I suggest that you take a look online at some bbcode tutoring sites to begin with. Or, just start with your shop in text, here (actually bbcode), and use the text formatting options that are available. You don't need fancy in order to sell items, you need items that are worth buying by someone else.

 

You shouldn't make or join a shop if you don't sell anything.

Contradictory statements are great.

Have you seen some of the selling threads in the trade market? They aren't exactly as graphically immaculate as @DragonEngineer 's or @Lego_DW 's. Just put the things you have in the thread. The stats of the items will attract customers. Well, that and the price.

weebly, square space, google docs, anything that can accept a link to an image URL (like the forums, wow what a thought). Moe's right btw.

I honestly recommmend not running a joint shop. I tried running Guild Shop for my guild and it gets pretty hard to manage.
The fact that only the person who created the shop thread can edit, so running a joint shop will get you into many situation where the item list may not be updated, and it troubles only person who can edit the thread. Miscommunications can happen as well.
Creating your own shop thread means you have complete control of your shop, and freedom to do whatever to your shop. Making item list updates and changes much easier.

I started my shop small, with everything written in text, over time I add some graphics to my shop and make changes to the shop formatting, to make the format much cleaner, simpler and more appealing to customers.

Lastly you need dedication to run your shop. Constantly go for loot runs/loot grinds for things to sell in your shop, and constantly bump it so it appears on the first page of the Trade Market forums.

i actually managed to find what i think was either the first, or one of the first designs of my shop from around august-november of last year. ofc theres no formatting but just imagine everything being orange and red lmao

actually kind of interesting to see how bad it used to be lmao

 

Or just funnel all items from multiple people onto one account and have that person manage the assets instead of divvying up the sales to multiple sellers, then split cuts publicly on the thread to guarantee trust if need be.
