Rp - Gavel's Darkest Hour- Act Two Begins [7/7]

He hands you a plate of some sort of fresh fruit cake from a nearby table. "There. Anything for the young lady!"
It's clear from his expression that he assumed you're actually 14 - you do look exceptionally young for an adult elf. But if it means he gives you free food...

"So what sort of a fighter are you? Archer? Swordsman? I hear villagers use a lot of combat magic." He seems very enthusiastic.

 

"I'm not really a fighter. However, learning a weapon could be good for me."

 

"Oh! Um..."
I accept the plate with two hands and a bow of the head.
"How much is it for two?"

 

ooc so the staircase is gone right?

 

She smiles, clearly having way more fun than she should be.
"That couldn't possibly work.", Bantira retorts. "Don't. You know how how easily that could kill us?"

"Oh, you brought a friend too? I'm afraid this place is full of boring adult talking called 'politics'. I didn't know people brought their children here. Here take another one, it's free." He hands you another plate, this one full of roast Grook. "Hop along then."

And most of the building.

"What do you have in mind? Crossbows are relatively easy to learn, but I guess swords are a more convenient weapon."

 

"I am not buying one but, how much does a sword cost?"

 

I take this one too, and smile at him.
"Yes! Thank you!"
I begging to walk back to Hels, humming under my breath.

 

Do I see her?

 

"Well we gotta get outta here quickly, there's probably a whole bunch of dwarves running here as we speak. Are we just gonna climb or what?"

 

I wale up, grab my stuff and step out of the tent.

 

Yes you do. She walks through the courtyard towards the House of Delegates, a plate in each hand. @Tsuyu-chan

That's not really a concern right now - you're trapped in the basement, the entire prison has collapsed on top and you're completely blocked off by rubble. They probably think you're dead.
Juntabi raises her wand and points it at the rubble.
"This is a really bad idea...", Bantira sighs.
You hear a rush of wind and a large clump of rubble levitates off of the pile. Juntabi appears to be very focused on the task.

As you step out of the tent, you see the mage putting it away behind you and stuffing it into his ring.
"The roads not safe for much longer," he says, hugging you from behind and pointing his wand at a floating island. "Brace yourself-"
There's an odd noise and you both land on the island. He lets go of you.
"Are you okay?"

 

Wave at her and when she gets closer, help her with one of the plates, looking at it.
"I was thinking you'd get some fruits, but wow! This seems really good! Thanks." I smile at Rin.

He points to some simple broadswords, covered in Dogun runes. "These ones are five emeralds and 36 shards each. I made them myself. Used to import materials from Ahms, but... -However, if you want something fancier I have plenty of more unique enchanted ones." He shows you a rack of them. Most notable are the golden greatsword he was polishing, a flaming longsword and a rapier that seems to be glowing several colours in succession.

 

”Good.”
I look around to get a bearimg of my surroundings.

 

You're standing on a medium sized island a short way off from the cliff face. Next to you are the remains of a farmhouse- half of it has fallen into the Void. Below the road in the cliff you can see a cross section of the mines. One of the distinctive Ahms pointy mountains sticks out of the far side of the island. In the distance, near the ruins of Ahmsanc, the silhouette of a dragon is visible.

Oh. Sorry...

It continues attacking you. The blades seem to be damaging it as they pass through but not fast enough. The ringing is becoming unbearable. "A simple carriage driver only yesterday. Oh woe is me." Most of your mana has returned overnight, perhaps spells might be more effective.

 

I cast uppercut with both my swords

 

"Hey Bantira, can you check if theres any secret exits or something like that? Also Headmaster what are you doing?"

 

The semi-magical matter created by the spell is much more effective. The ghost is sent flying, smoke and steam blowing off it, allowing you to get up, before it crashes into the ground. The steam-smoke looks a lot thinner, and it attempts another for more feeble attack.

"No, no secret exits. Juntabi, please, you're going to kill us!"
The headmaster is too focused on her casting to respond. Holding the pile of rubble in midair, she flicks the wand towards herself. There's a sound like breaking glass, and the rubble flies very quickly across the ceiling, almost hitting you and Bantira in the head. Some light is visible from above now. Juntabi raises her wand towards the wreckage again.
