"Oh? You want to hunt down the thieves?"

She puts back the book and sits down.
"Then that means you also want a reward for it, don't you?"

 

I shrug.
"Ideally."

 

"Well? Do you have any suggestions or would you like me to make a deal for you?"

 

"Well, my friend here did just lose his horse... it was a horse, right?"
I look to Harad.

 

"Don't bother, you'll won't be able to find a replacement for him."

 

"Well, we could at least get you some steed, yeah?"

 

"We can over you transport if that's what you're looking for. Most people tend to ask for gold. But you don't seem like you're from around here, so I assume you're travelling folks."

 

"Transport, yes. Transportation would be good."

 

I nod at that.

 

"If that's all, then that will be done. No problem."

 

“Alright. Care to debrief us, then?”

 

(What do you mean with debrief? I don't know the word.)

 

Give a rundown, explain the situation, that stuff.

 

She leans in closer.
"So.. the situation. A few days ago a heist happened on the bank and some of the local shops. We've gather some information and found out what exactly was stolen."

She stands up and starts to count on her fingers as she continues talking.
"Gold, ofcourse. A lot of it. As for Lysel's shop, they stole some incense, some natural remedies, and some of his more expensive plants."

She sighs.
"Now there is one thing that we've kept hidden for a long time, but they knew about it, so they must have a plan for it. Deep inside our vaults, we've had hidden a pearl. We didn't know what it could do, but Dollan told us about how powerful it was, so we hid it away and hope it would stay save. But.. we thought wrong."

She turns back to you.
"We know that the thieves took a boat and left into the lake. If you can find them and bring back prove that they have been stopped, we'll give you your transport. And, while you're at it, see if you can bring back any of the stolen goods and we'll reward you with some extra coin for your travels."

 

I nod.
"I noticed some other islands around. Have they been checked?"

 

Vaults=Bank?

"The ones closest to the town have been checked and there was no one found on them. Makes sense, doesn't it?"

There are vaults in the bank, yes.

 

"Yes. Though, one could infer that they went further..."

 

"And they probably did. You see.. the further away you go from the town, the more dangerous the sea gets. Our guards and ships have been able to take out and catch the creatures that come to close, but the further away you go, the less protection you get from the town and its ships."

 

"Hmm. Good to know. That's all, then?"
