Rp - Gavel's Darkest Hour- Act Two Begins [7/7]

You struggle your way onto the slate roof of the nearest building. Teleport would have been very useful here. Nothing seems unusual - you can see the Dwarven town of Maex, but the roads are empty. In Grinefez, the streets you can see are similarly empty. Perhaps you can find a witness?

"Technicality." She sits back on the bed. "You know, I honestly thought you were going to jump out of that window. Guess you really are warming to me, huh?"

 

I get down and knock on some doors asking if they've noticed anything

 

"That was an idea, but I have no way of getting out without falling a distance"

 

Is a bar near me?

 

Nobody answers the doors nearest the alley. It's late, people are asleep. However, a few doors away, a young female Dogun answers the door. Her response is not helpful. "What haven't I noticed this evening?"

You see what might be a bar (you're not all that sure what's what, you can't read the runes), but as you go to investigate, the dwarves start talking.
"What the fuck's a villager doing here"
"Dunno. He's alone, seems good enough."
"Good enough!? We're not here to break our alliance with the Villagers."
"We're already late, we'll be found soon."
"Yes. Precisely why we shouldn't waste time with a fucking villager!"

"You must not have wanted to enough." She lies down. "Do join me, he's gone now."

 

"And why does it matter if he's gone?" I'm still at the window how big of a drop is it?

 

Quickly walk to the har, if the dwarfs try to get me, I will blind them.

 

"Um the headmaster of the academy is missing. I found her hat and this dwarven sword down the alley. Have you heard anything that may sound like a struggle this evening?"

 

Just say “uhhh I’m gay.”

“.....tch.” I quickly follow with my sword drawn and alert as ever.

 

"..."
"So how do ypu plan on saving the forest again?"

about how low is low?
And about how much mana do I estimate is necessary for me to put that at 'medium'

 

Just how was I meant to know that?
Alright, replace airboats with tp scrolls.

 

"Well, we don't want to be disturbed, do we?", she whispers, writhing on the bed. Looking out the window you see it's a fair drop to the alley below. The street is cobbled and landing on the key-filled shirt would surely be painful. You're unlikely to sustain any serious injury but it won't be pleasant.

I really don't feel like getting into what that would even mean to a species with no genders...

"I heard some voices. Uh, there were two Doguns. One guy, one girl. The gal was definitely Obsidian. Uh, the guy sounded posh. And, uh, then dwarves. Did you hear about the dragon? Seems like this really is the end of the world."

As you draw close to the glow, you can make out a large round dirt chamber. The sides seem to be fashioned into tiered seating, full of ants, and at the back, an ant the size of a small house sits on a pile of eggs. Its eyes are bright orange, the clear source of the glow.

It's too low to cast anything but the simplest of spells. You estimate it would take about a sixth of yours to get it to about halfway.

"And how exactly are you going to get those? There are none here. Ugh. What have I done? I never asked for this! Sometimes I think the Doguns have got it right..."

 

"I still don't get why you threw them out" I keep looking outside the window at the shirt with keys

Would it be possible for me to air prison myself mid air to brake the fall?

 

You run across the street and into the bar. The dwarves hold their position. As you enter, a Dogun staggers out, clearly very drunk.
"There's one. Charge!", you hear a dwarf shout behind you.

It would.

 

Before i jump out i ask her ''Why did you even lock us in here?''

 

"You were the whole reason I stayed at the academy in the first place.", she says, for the first time slightly sad. "Elimut didn't want me coming with him. I had you exactly where I wanted. What else was I to do?"

 

''Not lock me in a room?''

 

She shrugs. "Worked on Elimut. Come on then. Do help cheer me up. I've been through a lot." She beckons you over to the bed.
