I shrug ''The easiest way is usally the correct way''

 

"Aw shit..... they really are intelligent.... and how the hell are they talking!?" I mutter quietly under my breath, hopefully not letting the enemy catch my comment.

I draw my sword, hoping for the best, and let go of the walls, bracing for impact directly below.

Its been a long day and my shoulder is still aching slightly. Its probably best to head in for the day.

 

I turn towards the direction of Suinos and head towards it. Supposing I know where it is.

"Well, thanks for that, hadn't had a laugh like that in ages."
The door of the inn swings open again. You're confused at first when you see nobody there, but looking down, you see Esmé the hobbit, a mischievous grin on her face. She walks over to the bar leans over the top and winks at the bartender, her eyes barely above the table. "I have a booking. Room six. Double bed."
The bartender winks back. "As you wish, madam Hobbit."

Ants start swarming into the tunnel above you, the size of villagers. You lose your balance and start sliding down the passage on your back at an alarming pace.
"And what do you have to say for yourself, Elf?", the voice continues, much closer now.

You climb back up the stairs to the middle level and step into the Magical Academy. It feels pleasantly warm compared to the bar. As you reach the dormitories, you see a teacher looking rather panicked. "You don't happen have seen Madam Juntabi?", he quivers.

 

"May I see your magical artifacts? While you are at it, may I ask you some questions? As a villager in dogun land, it would be best for me to learn about this unique, and hot land."

 

"Um, I was down at the bar with her earlier but she ran off to the washroom and didn't come back. Is something wrong?"

 

i turn to Esmé ''Wait what?'' Then to the bartender ''But i thought you said that room six was free tonight''

 

"I heard..... that you've been ransacking this area and.... become a threat to the Fort...!!" I shout back, deciding that if I were to fight it would be better I reach the ground than fight unbalanced. I take off one of my bracers (right one, since I'm right-handed with my sword and i can defend left-side with the other) and stab it into the dirt, hoping to slow my fall. I don't want to damage my sword, which is pretty much my lifeline.

If something is under me, I'll try to avoid with the best of my ability, but if it'll hurt me I won't and I will land on it. If it's a ground I'll roll to break my fall expecting some damage.

Suinos is pretty much due South. It's a town founded relatively recently to house the Coalition government. You run swiftly through the woods - there is a road but it's not direct and this is faster. Behind you you see Doushoins start to walk towards Cinfras, whistling the Coalition anthem as she goes. Soon you see it above the treeline - a tightly packed walled town with soaring domes.

She said she was going to the bathroom. She actually left the bar altogether.
"Juntabi? At a bar? Well I never." He shakes his head at you. "Well she's certainly not back. We do have other priorities right now, but I'll get people looking."

"I did," he says. "I couldn't exactly refuse her emeralds, could I?"
She turns to you and smiles. "You finish your drink and we'll go to our room, okay?"

 

Look behind to see if Rin is catching up.

 

''I don't have a choice do I? Did you at least send my message to Dermit?''

 

"And why would we attack the Fort? From what I hear they're quite happy to let us be. Unlike you..."
The slope gradually declines in gradient until you skid to a halt. You're in a hallway with numerous branches. Straight ahead, you can see an orange glow.

She giggles. "It was a pleasure. We get to leave the Academy at the same time!"
You take the last sip of ale from the glass. The bartender gives you a slightly apologetic glance.

 

''He kicked you out aswell?''

 

I'm with you, although noticably more tired than you are.

 

"Ask away", he says wistfully, taking a key and unlocking the door behind the counter.

"As I intended." she says, her grin widening. "I may have embellished your message slightly."
She hurries up the stairs to the rooms. "You coming?"

 

"Huh. Different from what I've heard!" I shout, looking around for the orc first, then try to identify the glow.

I down the ale and say with a smile ''The hell did you do?'' as i stand up and start heading to the room

 

Then I continue heading towards the town.
