Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Kiin shrugs.
"If I have problems, the voices in my head fix them." She says, her shadowy extension peeking out of the scepter and glaring at Abigail.

She starts eating, a few cake crumbs occasionally tumbling down your shoulder.

 

"Uh...I...left the oven on...I should go turn it off." Abigail says, edging around Kiin before darting out of the room.

 

"If you're scared of me, just say it! I am Xlentia's daughter, after all!" Kiin shouts after her.

 

There's a few crashing noises, before the sound of footsteps on a staircase.

 

"Could you not break everything?! I don't know where any of it goes!" Kiin shouts after her.

 

There's no response.

 

Kiin opts to just sit and watch the video Abigail left on.

 

The video seems to be ending, a man with red hair wishing his viewers goodbye, and how he'll see them in the next video they watch before cutting to an outro.

 

Kiin tries to turn the screen off before going to investigate the mess.


Alice kneels in front of the Tenebrae statue at the Shadow Palace before entering a meditative state.
"Lady Tenebrae... I fear I'm losing myself..." She thinks. "The blood on my hands... it feels like a cycle, something my instincts urge. Is this the price I pay for your kindness?..."

 

"Hehe, now we won't get lost."

 

The screen turns black as it's turned off. There doesn't appear to be much of a mess outside of Katie's room, oddly.


There's no response, but Alice feels a connection.

 

"What do you mean?"

She continues exploring around the palace, confused to what made the crashing sound.


Alice tries to trace it, surprised.

 

She can't find Abigail, nor can she find any messes.


Alice can't seem to trace it, but she can still feel the connection.

 

She looks for other souls in the palace again.


She opts to just let her thoughts flow.
“...is a thread more important than unending suffering... would going have made a difference... will they make it, and will Katie... no, I... I lost those memories...”

 

"Thanks to the amount of bread crumbs you're losing, we won't get lost."

 

Kiin can sense Abigail in the lower parts of the palace.


Alice feels listened to, even if she doesn't get a response.

 

“Oh...” Anne says, looking back and giggling... which causes crumbs to spray out of her mouth.
“Oops...”

“Why are we playing hide and seek? We’re friends, right?” Kiin calls.


She eventually breaks her trance and leaves, the final thought being “they’d lie to me over... that?”

 

Abigail doesn't move, nor respond.


Alice feels calmed, and her problems seem a little less as she leaves. Even though she heard nothing, it feels like Tenebrae had a soothing conversation with her.

 

Kiin’s shadow extension taps Abigail’s shoulder.


Her posture relaxes, but she still leaves uneasy and hardly trusting.

 

Abigail jumps backward, looking scared before backing up against the vault.


Alice finds Claire waiting for her, Claire looking up at her.
