Rp - Gavel's Darkest Hour- Act Two Begins [7/7]

"How about not kicking me out of the place I can sleep in?"

 

"...I guess so. Be careful. Don't want you getting killed."
As you go past an enormous dragon flies over the mountains from Molten Heights, breathing fire into the air in a terrifying display of force.
"Villager! Run!", the dwarven soldier shouts as he pulls out a crossbow and heads for the gate.

"The Rodoroc settlements are the worst. Not even two months after the catastrophe and we were already planting flags and building on top of it. Senseless."

"I have no more control over this than you do. I'm truly sorry, but neither of us have a choice. Please stop tearing me apart and let me do my job."

 

I use my spell focus light and blind the flies while running to safety.

 

The dragon glares straight at you, and speaks in a thunderous voice that can probably be heard all the way to Templemount. "What do you think you're doing, villager? Trying to deny me my new home?"

 

"Where am I supposed to go now?"

 

"yeah...nothing much we can do about it though...people love Torl."

 

"No, I'm trying to not get killed."

 

"You have your family in Olux, I believe. Or, if you're interested in furthering your magical education, Elimut's probably in Cinfras - perhaps he could give you further training. And if you can stand the heat, there's a place in Grinefez. Probably better than Gylia these days, honestly. They don't get meteors underground. If there's anything I can help with, let me know. I protested his decision, you know. Don't know what made me do it. I wanted you to stick around, I guess."

 

Did a quick read, yet I'll ignore what Tsu last said because they don't seem to have the mental capacity to correctly tag me.

I walk up to the other elf and put my hands under the carriage. "Help me with this, please."

 

"Perhaps not so much anymore, though. Much as they may deny it, people know that war would be disastrous for everyone."

"And you did that by trying to attack a dragon? I knew villagers lacked the judgement skills bestowed upon the other races, but this goes a bit further than that. I could kill you. There'd be nothing you could do. Tell me, why shouldn't I?"

 

"well, hopefully it won't come to that, right?"

 

"Then I guess my adventures will start sooner then I thought. Thanks for protesting at lest. Also can I 'borrow' some books before Im forced to leave?"

 

"Torl certainly hopes it does. She's convinced it would be an easy victory. Don't know how she can be. Too many factors. If the villagers or the dragons get involved, we have no chance. Sometimes I wonder if it would be better if she was - no. Shouldn't say that.

She winks at you. "Perhaps I might fail to notice." You reach your room and she picks up the wreckage of the door. "I'm going to take this to the repair magic room. I trust you'll 'behave yourself'..."

 

I ask sarcastically "Define behave"

 

She winks again and hurries down the stairs. The library is conveniently on the floor below and it's so jumbled it might take weeks for them to notice what's missing.

 

"you're right...oh well, we didn't come here to talk about depressing things like that did we? let's get wasted! drinks on me xd"

 

I try to find book about new spells I could learn and other things like that

 

She downs the remainder of her glass in one. "An excellent plan. One smoke whiskey, please."

 

"I am a welder of great luck. If you spare me, I will bring you great treasures in repayment. If you kill me, you will be missing out on great riches. Before you make your decision, I must apologize for using my light spell on you, it was to stun you so I could escape."

 

I order some more drinks and banter about school stuff
