You decapitate the spider and it rolls over, dead. That's the last of them.

 

"I should be alright, dont wanna cause you any trouble. It would be nice if you have a cart to wheel him over in though. Not that I really care for his well being but he'll probably struggle less if he's not being burned the whole way"

 

As you're leaving, you feel the mountains shift again. The light at the end of the staircase disappears and reappears. You emerge in front of an enormous gate adorned with statues of dwarves, Doguns and Villagers. This is the entrance to the Molten Heights.

 

I turn to the other elf and then back at the hobbit carriage, ensaddening a bit at the sight of them. "Poor souls."

 

"Yes. There's my wagon just outside. Hope he doesn't give you any more trouble." He gestures to a Firetree wood cart sitting outside. The words 'Grinefez Fine Literature' adorn both sides.

One of the hobbits is knocking on the battered door. She apears to be trapped.

 

I rush over there and ram the door with my shoulder. "Stay behind, please!"

 

"Thanks," I say as I load the exhausted dwarf onto the wagon. I wave at the shopkeeper as I head to the police station, keeping a careful eye on the dwarf so that he doesnt run off again as well as staying vigilant in case his friends decide to come back for him.
*sigh*
I can finally go to the Dragon and Mountain after I dump this guy with the police...hopefully the wont keep me for questioning too long......

 

I nod.

I walk closer to the carriage.

 

How hot is Molten Heights anyways?

 

Wow you guys are on a completely different time zone than me....


I rest a hand on the pommel of my sword in a relaxed manner; showing them that I am willing to let things pass peacefully but I’m armed so I can fight back if I have to.

“I’m here to subjugate the giant ants said to threaten this area. I’m not working for anyone. Say, I’m willing to leave things peaceful between us. I’m going inside the nest, and if you’re going in too, if we meet each other I want you to ignore my presence. Alrigh’?”

I smile and lift both my hands up, while sharpening my senses and observing the move they are going to make, ready to quickly draw my sword and leap back.

I’m doing this because I’m assuming they are power-focused fighters and they’re pretty slow.

 

”Stupid villager. Say gert ”puh-pet” and demon. Also plans rehrr-lo-vuton.”

 

Most of it is tolerable. Dogun settlements tend to be extremely hot, but Dwarven places are fine. You see an unusually large number of Dwarves marching up and down below the gate. There are no Doguns or Villagers.

As you get closer, you start to recognise the voice. It's Doushoins, High Delegate of the Coalition. The carriage is on its side and the door is stuck against the ground.

"Uh, Where bad villager? Why Gert smashy?"

"Bullshit. No elf works alone. Tell us. You doing this for Doushoins or Togak?"
Some of the other orcs grin and raise their weapons.

He stays remarkably still as you push the cart to the police station. As you come up to the door, a police officer turns to you, seemingly amused. "Looks like we got another one. Hear Garah had at least twenty. Mercenaries, it seems. Too chicken to send the actual army. You okay? What happened to your shoulder?"

 

How heavy does the carriage look?
And how easy does it look to break?
(And don't carriages have 2 doorz?)

 

It's not terribly heavy, it looks like the two of you could lift it together. And while a carriage would usually have two doors, this one for some reason doesn't.

 

What happened to whatever was moving the carriage?
I move to attempt to lift the carriage.

 

The ponies bolted and seem to have escaped. You try to lift the carriage, but can't do it without @Tisaun 's help.

 

I just realized that asking for what they're saying might be a good idea.

 

"Excuse me! A little help? Goodness, what is the province coming to? I am Doushoins of Suinos and I would appreciate immediate rescue! Please? Dearie me, how rude. My lovely campaign carriage as well. I simply can't go to Cinfras in anything else. And my diplomatic robes. They cost a fortune. Am I going to be late? This isn't good. Help!"

 

I don't respond to whatever he says.
In the time it takes for @Tisuam to come over and help, I will look over the things we just killed.
Do I think there's anything I can salvage for those?

 

Acromantula venom sacs are used in several potions so they're pretty valuable.
