Rp - Gavel's Darkest Hour- Act Two Begins [7/7]

Turning my head quickly towards Rin, I start to retreat towards her instead.

 

"Nah, got kicked out of the army. Fell asleep on guard duty. We was just looking for some fun. It was her idea."

The nearest guards are two floors away, but they quickly rush to the scene. One of them stops you. "Excuse me, uh, Sir? Oh. Uh, Villager hear Gert smashy. Villager no like smashy. Gert say what was?"

 

I hold in my treasure desires, even though I could just take it. Taking it would be suicide with all the religious lunatics. They have some way of looking at me from afar. Who knows how powerful they could be. I look away quick and check another corridor.

 

The large spider follows, clicking its fangs angrily and swiping at you with its front legs.

The spider clings to your back as you fall, hitting the ground and getting partially crushed underneath you. Its exoskeleton cracks into several pieces, with two getting embedded into your back.

In this one there is yet another coffin, however at its foot is a map, bearing the title "For the Lost". The walls speak of a great navigator Abbot, who built the road network of Bantisu and fully mapped out the canyons. It seems this place is a joint tomb for all the Abbots of Templemount.

 

I put the swords in an X in front of me.
"Are you okay?" I ask Rin.

 

"You can't expell me without Elimut's approval. You're not the boss, you're a shitty substitute teacher.", you say.
Dermit turns red and jumps out of his chair. "Out. Now.", he shouts. "Esmé, hurry the fuck up."
A young hobbit opens the door. "Yes Mr Acting High Mage?", she says.

 

"ok fine, i wont take you to the police, but tell me exactly why your here, what were you going to do with me, and everything about your accomplices"

 

"Oh did I hit a nerve? Everyone knows it's true"

Attempt to get up and kick the spider.

 

"We was just looking for fun, honest, I was -" He breaks away and starts running. Oddly, he's headed further into the town and not the way his friends went.

He runs up the stairs into the middle level of town, steps through the door of a bookshop, and collapses on the floor. You get in just afterwards. "What in the name of Garahah is going on here?" the shopkeeper asks, bemused.

Fighting through the pain in your back, you kick the struggling spider. It goes limp.

 

"Apart from the bits in my back and the fear of dying, I should be fine."
Look around.

 

I nod my head slowly, taking it in.
"Yeah. Alright. That's good."

 

"sorry sir, just taking out the trash xd"
I explain the situation to him

 

The spider ducks under the swords and tries to knock you over backwards. You stumble, but regain your footing.

"ill take him to the police. They'll probably want to know how they got in and who his accomplices were."

 

I take only the map and head out of the caverns. It was too unnerving.

 

I frown at the spider, concentrating on taking the plants grown from the seeds I've thrown before into holding it while I slash it upwards and diagonally.
