Mage/Dark Wizard Help Mage Build Help Plz

I am newish to this game but could still use some help with a build. I don't know what element does the most damage or anything like that so that's up to yall to help me with. I am basically wanting a run through and kill mage as much as that can be done. I am used to MMO's where you have to put real $ in to get good gear I know this is Minecraft but just for incase, I will say here what I say there. I have no money to do that kinda stuff lol. So I hope yall can help me with a good build. Thx :) Oh and can we reset our stats at some point or if I've screwed mine up bad will I just have to restart?

 

you can reset your skill points for the cost of 2 soul points in the skill point menu above them there's the option

 

As you will get better equipment every few levels, I wouldn't worry too much about a specific build until you reach level 90+. Just use whatever you randomly find.
For mage, the most important element to put skill points into is water, as mage heavily relies on spells (at least from level 21+), besides that I would personally see air as the next importent, or dexterity if you want more damage. But the main thing to consider is your equipment, your first priority for skill point should be the skill point requirements of the items you want to use. If you get new items for which you need different elements, you can easily reset them, as @Antra alread explained.
And don't worry, Wynncraft is far from being pay to win. Paid content is mostly cosmetic or includes additional save files, the only things that provide a real gameplay advantage are bombs, which affect everyone on the server and are not really necessary to progress.

 

while its true you shouldnt be too concerned about getting a build till the end game, i dont rly like it when people are all like just use random whatever either
my suggestion is to just use gear that at least has a little synergy. for example, if depending on whether your melee or spell oriented, get gear that boost the appropriate damage. in regards for what you should do, i would recommend to mainly focus on melee until you unlock at least meteor (seeing as until then you cant actually do any damage with spells)
however, due to the fall time on meteor, it might be best to even wait until you get ice snake before focusing on spell. once you do though, just spam any mana regen items you have and you'll pretty much be good lol

 

Thx for all the info. It's really helpful :) But could one of ya still maybe give me a good fairly cheap build that I can at least look at or and as I lvl up, know what to keep if I do get lucky in drops. Also I can build my stats to it now instead of having to reset them over and over lol. I would love to be a stronger mage, not so much a glass cannon if its possible. I am very much a soloer unless I absolutely have to party. Thanks yall :)

He didn´t. Its just a really old build from before Cancer and half the other items in that build got nerfed. Still... you can´t use it anymore.

you posted a 2017 meta build the link is obviously old since it has all the stats manually changed unless you did that yourself for some reason to completely misrepresent the build
