Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The person glares at Alice.

"I also know shooting you won't fully kill you." The person says.

The door opens again, the officer stepping back through.

"Officer?" The person asks, sounding a little confused.

"45, you're fired." The officer says, taking out a gun and unloading almost a full clip into the person interrogating Alice. The person falls to the ground, dead, blood spilling everywhere. The officer then uses the last bullet to shoot himself in the head.

I appear above the officer's corpse.

"Man, humans are stupid." I say, taking a card from the dead officer.

 

Bardock snickers aswell.
"We could go back and pay them a visit every now and then."

 

The giant thinks back as he follows, trying to remember what path he took to get this way, and if there were any other ways to go.

 

“Finally, someone who can actually fight shows up.” Alice sighs, taking the interrogator’s guns.
“Please tell me you won up there.”

There was also a path to the right of the intersection, which would be on his left now.

“Don’t hear me objecting, now, do you?” She smiles.

 

"Winning, but they're still fighting," I say, "We should get moving though. People are going to start getting suspicious if they see corpses."

 

“Right. I can carry both, or I can carry one and a gun. You decide, this nullmagic’s already tainted my connection several times.” She says, working on unpinning Sidus from the wall.
“...Also, you chose the loudest way to make an entrance. They already know you’re here.”

 

Alice accidentally takes out bits of flesh, bone and muscle. It seems the nails are woven in.

"I'll possess Aquira to make things easier. Carrying her with my whole body is easier than with just my hands." I say.

 

“Shit... uh...”
She tries possessing Sidus to compensate.
“I hope you can forgive me for this, I didn’t think I’d even get close.” She thinks.

 

Alice can feel Sidus' full weight, as if she's trapped inside of his body.

"K...K..." Sidus tries to respond, though his mind a little shot through torture and sleep deprivation.

I cut Aquira out of her chair and possess her, my dark limbs growing from her missing ones. I get up, though stumble a little.

 

“Katie’s safe.” She thinks, trying to empower Sidus.

 

Sidus stops trying to think, falling unconscious.

 

She leaves his body and tries to carry him.
“I didn’t know you wanted me to do a full on rescue mission. I would’ve actually came if that was the case.” She says, somewhat struggling to stay upright with Sidus in tow.

 

"Wasn't it obvious?" I ask, walking Aquira to the door and opening it with the card.

 

“You didn’t have me bust the gangs myself. In the case of these two, I was told to find them. I found them.” She grunts. “Besides, I already stooped down to stereotypes. Blood’s on my hands, and I’m not happy about that.”

 

"You could always talk to Tenebrae about it." I shrug, stepping through the doorway and grabbing a gun from one of the corpses of the animal-masked humans.

 

“I would rather die than ask more of her.” She says bluntly. “Any more than I have, and I may as well be living out my days as a willing slave.”
She checks how much ammunition is in the gun she took.

 

There's half of a clip left.

"I'm not saying ask her to undo your murders, I'm just saying...talk to her. A lot of people who feel lost or scared do it, even if they don't get a direct response." I say.

 

“After we get out I’ll consider it.” Alice says, biting off one of the officer’s fingers and keeping it with her.

 

I start heading down the hallway, more corpses appearing along the way. I hold my gun ready as I progress, occasionally glancing back at Alice.

 

She tags along at a fairly consistent pace, glaring furiously at the ground as she goes.
