Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I'll take a chocolate cookie. Not too big of a treat."

 

She catches it, unsure of what to do next.

 

"I'll be fine. Or, something like that. Let's just keep going."
The giant starts continuing his way down the tunnel, still holding out his hand awkwardly.

 

“Fair.” She says, waiting impatiently on the counter.

The corpse eventually turns to ash and falls off, the spear remaining.
“...You gonna take that out of your hand or no?”

 

"I might be mistaken, but you've been a bit energetic lately."

 

Some of the ash ends up sticking to the hand.
"I can't. I could take off this goop, allowing me to do so, but the process of doing that, taking out the spear, and not burning myself in the process would take a bit of time."

 

As soon as Alice makes contact with the coin, time starts to move again. This time, however, there's two of her.

Alice consumes the person she was inhabiting, and blood spills from Aquira and Sidus' heads as they're shot. Alice ends up killing the other humans soon after, barely standing a chance against her.

Time shifts forward.

Artemis and I seem to be talking to Katie, and her expression changes to that of shock, before tears start pouring down her face. Abigail tries to comfort Katie, but she pushes her away, sobbing. Artemis looks down, seemingly out of respect.

Time shifts forward.

Katie seems to be praying, Myria's necklace floating between her hands. A stone statue of Gaia lies before her deep in the ocean, and the necklace begins glowing.

Time shifts forward.

An icy hand squeezes Alice in place near to her home. However, this Alice is no longer a Shadow, but a draconian. Katie screams as she leaps toward Alice, bloodlust marked on her face, before stabbing her double trident so hard into her it pierces straight through. Katie's weapon forces out Alice's spine as well as most of her torso flesh on the other side in what looks like a fleshy sandwich. Katie pulls her trident back through Alice, pulling guts with it and shaking off the body mass, before stabbing her bloodied weapon into Alice's head. Katie pulls up, ripping Alice's head and what remains of her spinal cord off. Katie then throws her trident downward, chucking Alice's severed head onto the ground. Katie stomps on Alice's head with rage in her eyes, crushing it and causing her eyes to pop out; rolling along the floor.

As time begins to rewind, Alice notices a strange, powerful looking water guardian watching her from her porch. Not watching the Alice being torn apart by Katie, but the one witnessing it.

"A passionate girl, that one. It probably runs in her family." Temporus remarks as Alice is brought back into the frozen present.

 

“Would I be allowed to look at one other result, or have I overstayed my welcome?”

“And that’s something we’ve wasted a lot of. Alright, come on, let’s take a different path. More’ll come this way.”

“So I like cake, what’s wrong with that?”

 

“You lead.”
He offers, feeling around the base of the spear.

 

“Right, let the ranger lead.” She mumbles, heading off around the geysers, now only slowly leaking a lava flow onto the floor.

 

"Don't push your luck." Temporus says flatly.

Time rewinds a little as Temporus disappears.

"The choice is yours. Take it, or leave it?" Temprous' voice echoes with the ringing of a bell.

"If...you. hurt me, they die." The person progressively says faster as time resumes.

 

“Fine, fine. You win.” Alice says, her clone putting her hands up.

 

“Don’t worry, I can interpose well.”
He followers her, toying with the end of the spear.

 

The person gets to their feet, their dual pistols aimed at Alice.

"So, the Shadows are working with the Guardians. I didn't know you two had such a friendly alliance." The person says.

 

"No, I mean, you've seemed energetic and a bit impatient ever since we got back on the island. Which isn't long, I know, but I just noticed it. You can tell me if I'm completely off."

 

“And I didn’t know you guys had a huge ass secret base. I suppose I’m not going to be able to go back and tell the king that you guys aren’t as dumb as I was told?” She asks, knowing the answer. “Very impressive, by the way.”

“No, you’re right. It’s just, we can get started on actual wedding planning. I’m looking forward to it.”

It has a broken obsidian edge, and it reeks of soot and ash.

She takes you down a winding tunnel, though it’s a bit of a tight fit for you.

 

“This isn’t good...”
He mutters.
“Hey, when we get to the next guy, can you try an’ hold him real still for me?”

 

"I do too. When we've visited Siln, I'll make sure we can get things sorted as soon as I possibly can."

 

“No promises. I’m still not over being thrown into a stalagmite.” She grumbles, before ducking behind an indentation and signalling you get down.

“I mean, we’ve got most of the disasters out of the way with, right? There’s not much more bad stuff that can be thrown our way, I think.”

 

The person narrows their eyes.

"I don't think you'll be leaving here in any other form than a broken crystal." The person says.
