Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

She doesn’t wait for the guard to fall to the ground, waiting for the other guard to grab hold of the goggles before entering his body and biting his brain.

She continues to trip it, hoping an alarm will sound.


“I can’t repay you. We both know that.”

 

The guard is killed, and the person inside the room exits through the door with a pair of pistols.

An alarm eventually sounds after the third attempt, but nothing seems to happen.

Suddenly, the doors open and a grenade is thrown into them. The grenade explodes in a bright flash, destroying both of Alice's clones.


"You can. I do not ask something that a mortal cannot provide." The voice echoes chillingly.

 

"Then you can buy yourself a pie if you want. I won't stop you."

 

Alice waits inside the guard for the man to get a bit closer.


“How fast would this help arrive?”

Anne hops off your shoulder and onto the counter, waiting for the man to return.
“You sure you don’t want any?”

 

The person, seeing the corpses, shoots them in the head and heart; including the one Alice is hiding in. The bullets sting, seeming to sap away her energy and make her weaker.


"Extremely fast." The voice echoes.

 

Alice, hiding in the guard’s foot, sends out a small part of herself to distract the guard before rushing out and attempting to tackle him back into the room with Aquira and Sidus.


“...Nah, I’m taking my chances. Thanks, though. Keep space in hell for me, will you?”

 

The person shoots Alice when she sends out a part of herself and fires at her repeatedly when he's tackled into the room.


The connection vanishes.

 

She tries to bite into his neck, or otherwise loosen his grip on his firearms.

 

"Yes. I'm sure."

 

The person pins Alice down, and the sound of guns clicking can be heard.

"If you hurt me, they die." The person says, gesturing to Aquira and Sidus. Both of them have guns pointed at their heads.

 

"Nobody's even told me directly what I should be fuckin' doin'!"
The giant hisses back, but keeps his voice down.
"I've got'n 'don't make too much noise', 'shoot', and 'be careful', so excuse me if don't have a target."

 

Alice enters their body and starts chewing them up from the inside.

“Your target is the nitwit blocking your way. We’re on a timer, so pardon me for getting pissy for standing around!”

“Your loss.” She says, scanning the cake display.

 

There's the sound of gunfire, before everything seems to freeze. Time slows to a stop, though Alice seems to be the only one unaffected.

 

“Okay, fine, what do you want me to do, Temporus?” Alice shouts after leaving her host.

 

"This one, this one right fuckin' 'ere."
The giant glares at the man with the spear, his slime-covered hand reaching out and twitching, almost literally itching for a fight.

 

“Yes, that one!”
“Oh, good, you’re not that dumb.” The man chuckles.

 

Temporus leans against the wall, wearing a suit. He looks rather unimpressed.

"Honestly Alice, for what Tenebrae described as an amazing detective, you seem to not notice a lot of information," Temporus says, idly picking up a bullet frozen in it's path toward Sidus' head, inspecting it "Consider this your lucky dice roll. I wouldn't freeze time for just anyone. Since you're one of the ones from the other reality, I thought I'd make an exception. Don't think this will happen again."

 

"'Scuse me, princess."
The giant mocks the man, before swiping and cleaving through the space he's in with his goop-covered paw.

 

“Lucky dice roll? You do realize that if those two guards didn’t show up I was going to kill them myself?”

He sears some of the goop by bringing the geyser close to your hand, jumping back and throwing a few kunai at your wrist.

 

The magma simply sticks to the goop, the hand now a mass of dripping magma.
The giant nimbly spins to evade the kunai, flinging clumps of magma at the man from his hand on the turn back.
