Or travel 1 second for 990904m per second. At that speed I think I can melt out a small town before any of them even blink

If you are a tiny bit faster, that may add a few hundred, even thousands of meters. ;p;

I really feel like it should just double the base speed repeatedly instead of the exponential growth. Doubling your speed is already a lot.

Also, can I increae the speed of my fingers and throw a needle at speeds faster than a bullet? This requires less than a second I think, and you don't need that high of a speed, so we can use this multiple times. >.>
