Just got back, and this is how I feel from watching it:

Anyway, if I had to rank from least favorite to favorite girls, here is my list:

Also, Nico is arguably the most iconic Love Live character because of Nico-nico nii, but most love live fans either hate her or love her, while Maki seems decently high on most people’s lists.

I don’t hate any love live girls, but Nico is my least favorite. I won’t spoil why, but if you watch the first 5 episodes of the anime, you’ll probably see why.

Also, I just had to see the first episode of season 2 because the previous episode seemed so interesting, but I was disappointed. 5/10, worst episode of the anime yet for me. Again, I won’t spoil why

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Love Live: School Idol Project. The genius in the lyrics in the songs is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical weebness most of the songs will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Maki’s tsundere outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterization- her personal philosophy draws heavily from other anime for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these songs, to realise that they're not just beautiful- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Love Live: School Idol Project truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Nico’s existential catchphrase “Nico Nico Nii!” which itself is a cryptic reference to how “Nico” means “smile” in Japanese. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Sakurako Kimino’s genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Nico x Maki tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the weebs’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid
