Question On Powder Masters

Hey there, old player here.

I just got back from a 3-year hiatus and started up a new game as a Hunter. I'm having some difficulties enchanting my items with powders.
I'm currently trying to add a Thunder Powder I to an Iron String, but it won't let me add any items to the "Click on an item to add it" slot. It just won't go in the slot. Adding powders works fine. I've tried logging out/in, switching worlds, dropping and picking up the item, nothing. I was just wondering if I'm doing something incorrectly? I'm all new to the update and just started to get a feel for things.

iron string has no powder slots

 

Powder slots? You mean the item has to have a specified slot for an enchantment?

First of all, welcome back :D

Then, yes, to add powder to an item, it must have powder slots, basically what is required is :
- Powder
- A weapon
- Slots on the weapon
- Enough emerald

If you have all of that, go to a powder master, and follow the easy steps ;)
