"They were trying to kill us so what's the difference?" I say as I start towalk away

 

I tap Leo's arm and start going up the stairs. "Come on, we can't leave the kids alone."
Take out my spear, just in case.

"Nevermind. You guys know Lorry?"

Going up the stairs finds you a large hallway with several doors...

No more noise is being made however... oddly.

There are 5 doors in the hallway....

The hallway is shaped in an L.

Kayla found herself waking up in a place different from where she was last knocked out coldly unconscious.

She found herself in a bed, one definitely not in Order SIRIUS. However, it was very reminiscent of something else. She had definitely been here before.

Then she recognized the familiar scent. She was at the Sky Islands... specifically, the Temple of the Elementalists, also known as the Natura Sanctus. The place that taught elementalists of all kinds and had advanced healing methods.

Kayla also found herself in a different set of clothes, more homelike and comfortable clothes thank you very much. She thankfully felt the amulet inside her left pocket.

Kayla found it odd that she wasn't feeling any pain... especially after what happened earlier in the day. However, when she started to move and tried to get up, that when the pain struck her, coming to her as fast as a lightning bolt (HaHa....Only 3 people would get this...).

She felt another pillow next to her and aimed for that instead of getting up.... since she failed to get up last time in the field... It didn't hurt as much either and gave herself a distraction. Her arms, legs... her whole body felt sore... yet she was able to turn her body, wrap her arms and legs around the pillow, and simply hug it. It was a childish thing to do, but it was comfortable... a distraction.

As Kayla was about to close her eyes and fall asleep again, the door into the room opened.

A teenage girl about 17 wearing all black clothes walked into the room. Six floating totems of power then formed around her, three on each side.

There was only one person who held possession of all the totems... other than Arya who owned one.

"Corvus..." Kayla muttered.

The first guardian angel ever to exist was back... after being missing for a long 4,000 years...

The angel smiled faintly. "Call me Azura if you need to speak with me. But you're not in the proper condition to be wasting energy speaking to me right now..."

One of the totems shimmered. Kayla tried to speak but found her mouth wouldn't move. She frustratedly jerked her head and gave Azura a glare.

Azura only laughed. "At least you still have spirit..."

Azura then sighed. "A Virgo currently infiltrates the M.S.A.A... and you can assume it's reason one."

- Flashback -

Kayla looked at the sign of the small restaurant and looked down at the card.

"Emily - West Village Downing Street. 9:00 PM Sharp. Cya there Marksman."
- Virgo

She was at the right place.

She took a deep breath before entering the building. Just a few days ago, her and Virgo did have a fight afterall... resulting in no one being the true victor. And somehow... during that fight, Virgo was able to find out her identity... through her cloak and delivered a message right outside her dorm room. This note.

Then she entered the building and immediately noticed her.

Virgo's six knives laid flat on the table she was sitting at and all Virgo did was make eye contact with her to beckon her over.

Kayla reluctantly complied.

She took the seat opposite of Virgo's and simply stared at the knives. Kayla knew she had two pistols somwhere hidden but she'd think of a way to deal with that later...

Virgo started the conversation. "I wasn't expecting The Marksman to be some 12 year old." Virgo then put both her hands on the table interlacing her fingers. "I'll be honest, I'm impressed."

Kayla didn't reply to that.

Virgo sighed. "Look, I'm not here to murder you unlike a few days ago. I didn't know you were just a child. I thought displaying all my knives like this would show that..."

"Where are your guns?"

Virgo rolled her eyes conjuring two guns out of nowhere and placing them on the table. "You satisfied now?"

"You can't call me a child when you're just 15."

"But I'm a teenager and you're not. And you're 3 years younger than me."

"I'll be a teenager in a couple months!" Kayla argues shifting in her seat uncomfortably.

Virgo only laughed. At how funny this situation was. Only a few days ago, she was trying to assassinate this girl and this girl was trying to capture her and take her into the M.S.A.A's custody. Now they were talking like two normal girls... naive to the world around them.

"I respect you Marksman. I wish I could be like you... going out and trying to do good in the world, always showing your enemies mercy. I regret the road I took, assassinating people for money to live... I appreciate what you do Kayla."

"Thanks . . . I guess..."

"Let me promise you something."

Kayla perked her head up questioningly.

Virgo looked at the youth softly. They were so young, yet they've made a name for themselves already on the streets as The Marksman. It was interesting. "I won't ever oppose the M.S.A.A. in the future... if I do, it either means something's wrong and something happened to me... or I truly disagree with the M.S.A.A. But I don't think it'll ever be the second option... Dr. Lakrow is a good strong leader of yours."

"Do you want me to tell her that?"

"Yeah... and one more thing..."

Kayla tilts her head.

Virgo smiled. "Tell her my name is Yumi Ero."

- Flashback Ends -

Kayla looked up at the angel. She tried to ask "What happened to her?" but her mouth wouldn't move.

The angel seemed to get the message, however. "You'll have to figure that out yourself."

Kayla gave her another glare.

Azura sighed. "I can't make everything easy."

Kayla fumed in her position.

"There are mysterious ties to this world that prevent me from doing so." Azura begins to turn around and walk away but then stops. "Oh and one more thing." She turns back towards Kayla. "You might perhaps find something interesting later tonight at Greenwich Village... Stop by there first when you go out as the Marksman. Good luck." Azura then turns around, the totems around her vanishing as she opens the door and leaves the room leaving a curious, and tired huntress in a bed.

The scene fades away.

Aww, how nice. Someone took off all her clothes and put her into new ones. They seem to fit her preference too...
hmmmmm...
who would take off her clothes and know her preferences?

What, exactly happeded earlier, that hurt? >.> Did a guy hurt her? O-o Where?!

A couple people would know. Arya, Aquila, Azura, Jay (he’s a medic), Dr. Lakrow and Noctua (They are both really smart).

 

Haven't I've been up this time for the past month? .-.

Hmmm...
But not all of them have access to the sky islands, right? >.>

 

They all do...

But only Aquila, Azura and Noctua are there atm. Arya is unconscious, and Jay and Dr. Lakrow are doing their jobs.

Three are angels, two teleport through rifts and one is... Lakrow. Makes sense.

 

Correction:

Azura is a savage.
Aquila and Noctua are angels.
Jay be like: I got rifts and can travel to other worlds m9. How do you feel.
Arya be like: Ancient f***ing spells.
And Dr. Lakrow is a doper savage.
