Sanik starts walking around IN the crowd and look for objects or values onto people

 

"Brom, could you give the woman a seat on your shoulder?"

Brom carefully picks up the female dwarf and places her on his shoulder.

 

Sleight of Hand check and Stealth check. Guards are present in the crowd, making this a LOT more difficult to get away with.

She gets up on Brom's shoulders, smiling away as she watches the magic show being presented by Tony.

 

"Quite impressive don't you think?"

Stealth : 12 + 3 (Dex) + 4 (Prof) = 19

 

"It's interesting, to say the least."

The crowd roars with laughter and people clapping.
One shouts: "Can you dance?!"
Most go silent, awaiting your response.

Pick three of five:
- A random (reasonable) amount of money?
- A brochure type piece of paper?
- A newspaper?
- A ring box?
- Random assortment (reasonable amount) of clothing?

 

"Yeah. Dance!"

 

"Bare-a-ly, but I bet I could look good while screwin' it up."
I say, confident.

 

Everyone whispers to each other and then look back at you. It doesn't take much to see that the clouds above are becoming darker as it becomes early evening.

 

“Well, with dancing, there ought to be some music.”
I cast Minor Illusion to create the sound of music from Singing in the Rain, pull out my Rod of the Pact Keeper to use as an umbrella, and joyfully do the appropriate dance.
When the time for Minor Illusion ends, I cast it again to keep the music going.

 

Some in the crowd whistle along as the music continues. They mainly remain attentively watching the dance movement.

Does the dance end?

 

Yes, and once it does, I strike an accepting pose, arms outstretched and face upwards.

 

The crowd, which while you weren't paying much attention has grown to fill almost the entire courtyard in the shopping center, claps and whistles their approval.

Spoiler: Tony

Yet another vision kicks in.
Your surroundings become a large stage, the crowd becoming much, much larger. Lights shine on you and you remember your happiness on stage.
Another person's on the stage and although you're glad they're performing with you, you focus on your own performance enough to really care about them.
The vision doesn't end. It seems to be waiting for you to be ready to leave it behind.

 

I try to do so without moving, using the Rod for support as I stand and close my eyes.

 

As the crowd continues to provide their support through money and cheers, they suddenly stop:

A calm, automated voice message plays from the speakers in the walls of the courtyard.
"THE NOD.DEG CORP. MALL WILL BE CLOSING IN APPROXIMATELY 1 HOUR"

 

Kazuki (thinking): Well we picked a good time to come...

Wait, what time is it?

 

"Well well well, folks, looks like I've got a time limit."
I balance on the Rod like a cane.
"Any other suggestions before I must stop?"

 

It's around 5-6ish PM.

Everyone's kind of packing up their stuff already. No one's paying attention.
