Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"They might be able to help, actually. Alice has the ability to hide in people undetected." Abigail says positively.

 

Voidfiller catches the acorn before it hits the ground, standing under the portal. He throws it back up, then closes the portal, making the acorn fall onto the ground.

 

"Hm.. we could play it a bit different."

He takes a look outside, seeing if there are still people looking through the windows.

 

The crowd's thinning out a bit, but not by much.
"Why can't the guards just do something about this..." Anne complains.

The fae takes notice, throwing another down as Voidfiller throws the first.

"Well, good luck with your search." Xlentia says with a smirk, keeping her teeth covered.

 

Voidfiller opens up the portal again, throwing the new acorn out, and looking back up at the fae.

 

"Thanks. Could you contact us if Aj or Shadow Stephanie returns while we're away?" Abigail requests.

 

"They are probably watching aswell. Arga's a big deal in this village apparently."

 

"Yeah, I just need to..."
Xlentia carefully moves a claw towards Abigail and Katie, brushing against them and nearly knocking them over.
"Okay, those. Alright. You'll be the first to know if I see them."

They throw another acorn in.
"Just hold on to it, would you?" They ask, annoyed.

"Maybe I could try and burn anyone who wouldn't let us out?"

 

Abigail looks rather confused.

 

"Why?"
He throws this one out again.

 

"Let's not. We don't want to make enemies."

 

“That armor I was wearing messed with me... I can’t reach out to anyone unless I can trace them.” She says, revealing two tiny beads of blood.

“But this is so stupid! The guards are supposed to stop things like this!”

They throw the other back.
“I’m your squad leader, and I’m not tolerating stragglers.”

 

"Oh, alright." Abigail says, getting up and offering a hand to Katie, who shakily accepts it and gets up.

Abigail and Katie start heading towards the palace doors.

 

Xlentia pauses before opening a portal to leave.
“Of course I forget what I needed to tell Tenebrae, where’s Emerald when I need her...” She mumbles as she heads through.

 

Abigail and Katie venture around the Shadow Palace, trying to find Alice.

 

She doesn’t seem to be at the Shadow Palace, but there’s a sticky note left where the detective agency was before the incident;
“If you want me back, offer me something better than my home on earth.
-Alice”

 

Abigail looks at the note, frustrated. Katie just tries to keep herself from crying more as she holds on to Abigail's arm.

The pair decide to go to the portal room, opening a portal to Alice's home on Earth.

 

"They should, yeah. Maybe ask Arga if she can deal with it."

He laughs.
"Maybe she can turn everyone into stone so that we can get away."

 

"Wouldn't be the first time. You two that antsy to get out of here?" Arga calls from the back, startling Anne.

Alice is reclining on her porch, tea in hand as usual.
"No, no, don't tell me - you want me to help find her parents?" She asks lazily.

 

"Aj and Shadow Stephanie are out, and you're one of the few people that is used to hiding in people and collecting information. We don't know where they're being held, but we do know it's not somewhere with simple security." Abigail explains.

Katie starts sobbing again.
