"They all have the same magical barrier we do," the 'ice user' says. "I don't think you're really in the bargaining position esspecially with all your members suddenly disappearing..."

G 8 to E 8

 

"And Checkmate!" Leo declares.



"Good game." he extends his hand over the chess board.

"They still aren't here... it's been 5 minutes..." Naomi sighs.

 

I shake his hand. "For your prize, the win. For my consolation prize." I take the bowl "The chips."
I turn towards Naomi and eat a handful of chips "Should we worry?"

 

"Eh. I won't mind taking out a few bad people. I could just light the entire building on fire. Those barriers probably won't protect you from that."

Instead of moving the rook to e8.... well here...

(So I realized I forgot to add the black light square bishop back on b7 but imagine it's there and you're not in check.)





Then from here, if I moved the King to f2, you can move the Knight out of the way and the bishop will check it again.

If I take your knight with my knight, you can move your bishop to b4 to block checkmate.

If I move the King to e1, you can check again with your knight going to g2.

And if I move to e2 with my King, you can check with your rook to g2.

Anyway ...

"What!? That's not fair!" Leo protests but doesn't do anything about it.

Naomi shrugs. "They are either too early or too late all the time..."

The trio smirks. "Except for the fact that lighting the building on fire would get you in major trouble with the M.S.A.A, destroy Order SIRIUS's base, and a whole world of hurt for you."

 

"So you're with them?"

She shakes her head. "I'm not with them."

About 5 ish minutes...

 

"I mean.. I had a good reason to do so. They'll understand. Wouldn't be the first time running from the police and such, nothing I can't handle."

 

The 'ice user' snickers. "Did I mention we can easily teleport away with one word?"

 

"You're just bluffing. Show me then."

He makes sure he has his pistol ready incase the barrier drops.

 

"If I were to show you, the barrier would disappear leaving us no 'fort' to return to," the 'ice user' says. "The barrier, a k a the floating book follows me."

 

"You can teleport anywhere, correct? Why not teleport somewhere else in the room and surprise us?"

 

"I can't teleport anywhere. I have to set 'waypoints'," he responds. "We only got in because we have a spy... That spy has finally been rooted out but al

"Not in this little group you have orchestrated here but yes. One of the adults," the gun user answers.

"The M.S.A.A. already figured out who it is dimwit, that's what they're saying," Ezinth says to you.

"Precisely," the 'ice user' compliments.

"And now a majority of Order SIRIUS is missing and can't do anything about it," the air elementalist adds once again.
