I say towards Eva (in elvish)
"Have you heard of Emyebel?"

 

Ok who are you talking to?

 

Eva. The bartender who is an elf.

 

"Doesn't ring a bell. Should I?"

 

I sigh. (Still elvish)
"No... I guess not."
I start drinking again.

 

"You can tell me. I'm willing to listen to stories, but you know the rules."

 

Wait, is she speaking in common or elvish? And what's the other dude doing about me speaking in elvish? xD

I shake my head.
"I'm new here... I don't know of any rules."

 

So lin has a plan here once we get out of this area I'll continue

 

To keep things easy, I'll say she's been responding in elvish. The dude is just drinking his beer and looking at you with a smile.

[Elvish]:"The rules are simple. We come here to drink and have a good time, and we want to keep it that way. Therefore you are not allowed to make any of the customers feel embarrased, sad, uncomfortable and anything else that makes customers want to leave. You can buy drinks, have fun and even get drunk, but don't let me catch you scare away my customers."

 

I nod my head and pause when she says

[Elvish] "Best that I keep my stories to kyself then..."
Resume drinking. >.>

 

[Elvish]:"I agreed to listen to your story. So if I don't like it, that's on me and not you."

 

A few moments to figure out how to say this without mysekf cringing inside.
Also, I'm assuming I only have one jug of rum left...
I toss another silver on the table.
(Not Elvish) "One more then."

 

"Coming right up."

She takes the silver and a few seconds later comes back with rum.
"Here you go."

Drink.

Down the cup.
"One day she chased me away."
Slam the cup down onto the counter.
"I only found out recently that the village was burned to the ground."
Reach for the second cup.
"The only thing I have left to remind me of her is this instrument..."
