"First I found Harris and asked him to help, that didn't work. Then I tried to call him, that didn't work. Then I used a shard to try to find him or objects that he has. And I just tried to track atoms with a shard"

I bandage up my arm and put whatever could help me in my foot.

You then close your eyes and take a nap...

A couple taps on your shoulder (on the opposite arm of the one shot) wake you up.

The location hasn't changed, and Ezinth is still there with another dude. The guy he's with seems to be a teenager and sighs.

"Let's go," he mutters before summoning a pure white dagger of energy and slicing the air creating a rift. Ezinth then pushes your stretcher through the rift and the teenager follows.

You enter what seems to be a high tech infirmary... Ezinth pushes your stretcher to one of the empty areas and the other guy closes the rift behind him and desummons his dagger.

"I'm not exactly fit for extracting a bullet so I'll just go get someone," the teenager mutters before walking out the infirmary.

"He's lying," Ezinth murmurs.

What now?

Another pause.

"He may simply be in an area blocking magic or he himself is blocking magic. Or he might be in the Sky Islands."

"Okay then..." Leo mutters.

"So we're gonna do a fake mugging at night..." Naomi says a little too excitedly. "Let's do it tonight!"

"The hell are you on kid?" the officer says but something tells you it's a joke.

"Shh, contacting friends..." Naomi fishes out a phone from her pocket, and puts it against her ear.

The officer makes eye contact with you and beckons you to come with him to another room. A talk in private.

What now?

 

"What's sky islands and how do I get there, that sounds like the best vacation spot ever"

 

I follow him. "So, are you okay with all this 'rule breaking' ?" I make air quotes.

 

"The Sky Islands are floating islands concealed and hidden by magic. They exist on the Earth, and there is a temple there, designed to train all types of Elementalists and also can heal the most severe wounds. The angels have their own Sky Islands which are in another 'realm' , 'world' , or 'plane' perhaps and often gets confused and mixed up with these Sky Islands."

The officer sighs. "As long as no one gets hurt or blamed, I'm fine with it," a pause. "...You know, I used to see the world in simple terms. Gravity makes things fall. Fire burns things. Water makes things wet. The Sun rises and sets..." another pause. "When magic came into the world, I didn't know what to do. And when I found out magic was the cause of the accident that happened 13 years ago... the fire that killed Naomi and Samuel's parents, I just sat there, lost. 'This world was hidden straight in front of my eyes for that long?' "

Leo takes another pause.

"But I wanted to learn more about it too. And what I found scared the hell out of me.." he then looks over to Naomi. "Kids think differently than adults. They're naive, curious, wreckless... all of the sorts. Naomi wants to know more about the other hidden world of magic... yet she doesn't know what she might find... I'm scared for her, I'm scared for all of her friends. I'm scared for her brother. I don't want to see anyone get hurt here..." he eyes your foot. "Well, you know what I mean..."

Yeh. I had to make it unserious somehow.

What now?

 

"And how would one get to them?"

 

"Lying 'bout what?"

A figure around 5 ft 6 in walks into the Training Room. The dark cloak they are wearing however doesn't allow you to see their face.

They notice you.

Suddenly, in a flash (well, they just run up to you), they tackle you and you find a knife to your 'throat'.

"Hello dear," the figure says. It's a female voice. "Have you seen a Miss Lakrow around?"

"Teleporting to the exact spot," Dr. Lakrow responds simply.

Ezinth sighs. "Although he's young, he's a really good surgeon."

 

"How far is it? My teleportation skills are limited)"
If shard tiers aren't OOC then I say that I only know the tier 2 shard

"Then you won't be able to reach the Sky Islands."

 

"Then is there someone who can take me there or teach me a stronger shard?"

 

Pretty sure Daniel wouldn't take it seriously in the first place.

I finish cleaning my ear "Yeah, yeah, the world is pretty bad without magic. At the end of the day, how much worse can it be? We are already at the bottom of the barrel, it's not like we can go any deeper"
I put my hand on his shoulder. "You're gonna get through mate."

 

"I'll be the judge on that. Get that bullet out, then I'll complement him."
