Discard the kid, jump on top of the man, and do my best to grab the dagger.
Repeated stabbing, if he's too dazed to do something sensible like dodging. Which he probably isn't, but it was wotrh a try.

You dodge the blade and 'karate chop' (not that karate exists) his wrist, and the blade clatters to the ground. It's oddly loud.

You catch the sword! Huzzah! But there's... no force behind the swing

You throw the kid to the side and the crowd gasps. Swiftly grabbing the man's knife, you grip it with both hand and plunge it downwards... into the ground?

Wait. Crowd?
You all look around in silence. There's a little girl (Xia), a bit under ten, with blond hair that reaches to her waist. She's standing a bit behind another man (@BlueSlimerino, description of William pls.) who's just standing there with a sword blade between his hands. Another man with tanned skin and faded hair (Alesol) is standing dumbly with one hand out, as if chopping something. A woman (@Azura, description of Raya pls.) is standing, stunned, in a position where she could watch the entire thing. A goblin (Valkas) with short black hair and reddish-orange skin is sitting on the ground, grinning. An elf you didn't see before (@HMTN description of Zara pls) is crouched on the ground, holding a dagger impaled into the ground. A person dressed in robes is sprawled on the ground with an open mouth (this is the male Alesol rushed). He seems stunned. There's a group of children off to the side, huddling together. They seem too afraid to say anything. A black haired, burly man is staring in surprise. A woman with red hair stops lifting the bottle to her mouth.
The silence is kept for a while.
Then, a dull thud is heard and everyone snaps out of it.
The children start crying, the burly man reaches behind him, the red haired women lowers her bottle and the robed man hurriedly grabs the book on the ground and clutches it to his chest.
"What happened here?"
It's a boy, about 16. He has short brown hair and black eyes. You see three knives on his belt, and you think he probably has more hidden. (This is the man that was with Raya in the beginning)

 

Er, I mean Raya is 52 but she looks 14 and is physically 14.

Wouldn't like, child or kid be better or something idk?

Anyway...

There was never a part in the appi that said "Clothes" or anything...

 

Anything really. But if it affects the scenario (EX. I'm suddenly wearing steel plate armor in the beginning of combat) then it'll cost a FP. Cosmetics though? Go ahead and go wild. xD (Actually... not too wild pls. ;-;)

Purple eyes
And wearing normal peasant clothes with the cloth torn on one leg

I try to knock the sword out of the guys hands by twisting the blade and even if that doesn't succeed I say "What now?

 

(The man isn't there. You're just holding the blade of a sword with no one on the other end)

 

Then I just throw it down and say to Xia
"Where did he disappear to?"

 

Ok, let's go Cosmetics . . . xD

Raya has a somewhat worn out cloak which is this color... and it also has a little gold outlining at all the edges of the cloak (hood, wrists, etc.)

At least it's not Lex's cloak which makes his rune casting take minimal effort and double the power.

She also has Brown Leather Boots ...

Everything else is average / casual stuff...

5'5, grey cloaked and hooded, single clump of red shoulder-length hair. You can only really tell the elf part from the face.

The man (Valkas) infront of the little girl (Xia) just ignored everyone and turned back to talk with her.

She quickly hides her face and continues eating.
