this was all because of an argument between GoodVibes and upper management. totally unjustified, sure its annoying sometimes, but his actions arent justified.

plus, imaxe has one of the highest karma counts in the entire CT, has made numerous amazing quests + builds and didn't have a city named after him.

also, Karl Maex and the community dwarves.

In my opinion Maex is a lot more rememberable name then dogovi. Also it just simply works well.

 

Vibes got into it for building inappropriate stuff with Grian. Then Grian banned him from the build server. Then vibes doc dropped grian's address and built some racist stuff and photoshopped grians face onto a naked woman. He was a good man and one of my best friends. Long live Dogovi

 

Dogovi 79 is the only house in Maex that is still in Dogovi

 

Some say we ought to remove confederate monuments because they symbolize slavery; others oppose this, saying these monuments symbolize something much greater than that, they symbolize our history as a nation. I've never met the guy, but from what I've seen and heard, Dogovi symbolizes something much more than GoodVibes, it symbolizes our history as a Content Team, our history as a community. And I believe that this trumps any suggestion that it was right to rename Dogovi for the sole purpose of degrading GoodVibes and all he did for this game.

Now, again, I've never met the guy, but I've heard first-hand accounts of the work he did. He worked day-in and day-out for years at a time. He built Dogovi, he built the Aldorei suburbs, he essentially built 5-10 quests, towers, trees, buildings, you name it. I think someone of this caliber, with this much determination, ought to be remembered at the very least through the name of a town. What GoodVibes did right outweighs everything he did wrong. I understand that reopening this debate in the Content Team won't be easy; doing what's right isn't always easy, but it is necessary.

As an unbiased observer of this debate, I'd like hope that someone out there is willing take up this cause with me and bring justice to Wynncraft.
