The Online Map

Hello!

Got rid of the above for better formatting since I wrote that late at night.
By Friday, latest, https://map.wynncraft.com will not be functioning as intended. The original system relied upon the Google Maps API for a number of assets, but coming this Friday, those assets will be more of a hassle to use. The core-software which we use for the map, Overviewer, recently made the switch from Google to Leaflet–and I am in the process of migrating our map to use Leaflet instead as well.

Last night, I disabled player tracking until I could alter the syntax. Good news is, player tracking is now available once again!

Update: (6/18/18) Guild map returns! Player head no longer glitches. Colours are no longer random per request of the community.

Note: If your map appears broken, it is because you have yet to clear your browser cache. If you do not know how to do that, a simple google search like: "google chrome browser cache clear" can give you the steps on how to do it.

Note: If a feature is missing, follow the note above this one.

Will also be fixing any bugs associated in the coming week.

Why is everyone saying it’s Dern, did the map go offline when Corkus was released? It’s just a software update

If Dern was released, why would they update the map software? They never did that before. They are probably just fixing some bugs and making it perform better by porting the system out of google API.

I don’t think so. He said that they were just porting it onto a different website, not actually updating the map itself.

 

that's not what i meant, i was referring to everyone assuming it's "dern", when it's just being improved or ported or whatever.

my map does not show my me or my friend and does not show any text on it like the name of the city or the recommended level for it

now now now... im am not that stupid.. cant a man have a bit of fun? like for example after corkus came the map didnt update for a week? if i am correct so why would they now update it before? so what i mean is i was just having fun you see? it had been a wery boring day :)

It varies on a per browser basis, my suggestion is look it up.
