[d&d] The Fall Of A City [8/8]

"Naw."
I start up, putting away my book.
"Wanna come see if that giant robot is still there?"

 

"Brom?"

 

"No, the one we killed."
I snatch up an apple as I start going to the front of the shop.

 

"I'll follow you. Maybe I can snatch some materials from it."

 

My shirt changes into an intricate and fancy robe with angel wings on the back as I step out of the sushi shop and make my way towards where we killed the robot Eye ( @Nem ).

As you walk outside and are hit by a ray of light struggling to seep through the clouds, you have a hallucination.
You see Cassy and a devil-like person with black wings (red hair, large horns) protecting something in his arms standing back to back on the street. The morning quickly and unexpectedly becomes nighttime as multi-colored eyes appear within the clouds and fog that invade the city. Lightning slithers through the sky and grows closer to the ground as hell on Earth overwhelm Cassy, the devil-man, and the citizens around you. The world becomes pitch black as the devil-man throws something into the air, a ball of blankets, it seems. Reality returns to you. Nothing happened at all.

As you all turn the corner to visit the scene of the fight last night, you notice a police car and news reporters surrounding the area where the golem fell.. but no golem. The birds are gone too.
Police surround the car that was destroyed by the cloaked person dropping the bird onto it. Streets are busy nonetheless.

 

I stop, looking a bit shocked, and resist the urge to wipe my face through my mask.
I then inch closer to the news reporters, getting close enough to hear what they're saying.

 

They're flashing cameras at a large dried up blood stain on the asphalt. Some are talking to police:
"There aren't any bodies to be found at the moment, but we are searching as thoroughly as possible. Keep in mind this occurred during curfew, so the criminals will be punished severely."
"The car has no signs of damage from a humanoid. The large dent seems to be from something that was dropped onto it, but we have not found any other evidence."

 

I observe the area where the golem was for any marks that were left by it.

 

Perception check.

 

14 + 0 = 14

 

There doesn't seem to be any marks left by the golem.

 

I quickly walk back to Toki.
"We need to go check something."
I start walking to where Daniel and I fought the Eye.

 

You're walking within crowds of people for a while, but you finally arrive in Riconi. As you enter the alley, you're met with a shady person sitting in a chair on the side of it. They read a newspaper and wear ragged clothes.

 

I look around for any trace of the body (Parts, tracks, etc.).

 

Perception check.

 

17 + 0 = 17

 

Looking along the floor and nearby building walls, you notice handprints in the dust heading towards the street, but they stop. On the floor is a medium sized cluster of lights, metal, and other mechanical parts combined into one piece.

 

I approach the cluster.
(Do you mean that it's all attached, or one piece as in one cluster?)

 

It's all attached together, but not sloppily.
