Another Dungeons & Dragons Campaign (6/6 Players)

Elzen: "You don't know us, how you can speak for us? Although if the sword has some significance other then a heirloom that could cause trouble in the wrong hands we should know about it."

 

Illia: "You will be able to obtain that man's goblet, which he said you can keep, and I can pay rather generously for its return."

 

Elzen: "Okay, that makes it important. Does it have any special ornaments on it that could help us find it? Especially reflective things that would make it easy to see such as gold or other shiny metals."

 

Illia: "It's old, but it's solid Dwarven steel."
Illia: "It has some gems - mostly rubies and topaz - set into the hilt. They're used-up spell gems, so they're not actually worth that much."

 

Elzen: "Okay, assuming that no one objects to taking you when should we go out to the mineshaft then? I assume that you'll want to get a few things ready."

 

Illia: "I'll be fine with my holy symbol."

 

Elzen: "Okay, let's go then." Assuming no one has any objections he starts walking to the mineshaft.

 

Illia: "Let's get going."
Knight (the one in the chantry): "Good riddance."
Illia adjusts her holy symbol and goes to the church exit, along with the knight from earlier. The knight leaves to go do his own thing.

 

Oh boy, notifications seem to hate working... Time to read up.

Lycan just follows the group at this point, though doesn't say much as to not bring attention to himself here.

 

Well, not many people actually care that much about it being outlawed. Non-humans (like goblins, who compose a significant portion of Xandoniu's worshippers) don't care about what Saint Nadia's church says anyways. The whole thing is somewhere between a rivalry and some sort of holy cold war.

So, I'll assume you're outside. Maybe you hide your holy symbol or something.

 

Sounds about right. I'll approach Elzen after the group leaves the church.

Lycan (somewhat whispered tones): "So, what's the church having us do this time?"

 

If you approach Elzen you'll get a faster response

 

Sure, but out of everyone here, Erevan's the only one he somewhat knows.

EDIT: I realized I mixed up the two, I meant Elzen. Post edited to match.

 

Elzen: "The group were supposed to get a sword from the mineshaft where we met them for the priestess. They didn't find it or didn't know they had to, she wants and now we're going back to look for it."

 

Lycan: "Anything special about it, or does the lady simply want another for the armory?"

 

Elzen: "It's a heirloom, but further it should be normal."

 

Lycan: "I see. Doesn't make me happier to work with them though, but if I must..."

 

Elzen: "I'm not happy to work with the church either, but it should be easy, they've already gone through it before and it'll get us paid. Also I recall that you said that who you worship is complicated, you could tell me along the way."
