Mage/Dark Wizard Melee Builds For Mage

Hello guys, I’m back with more melee builds (idk why though cuz I like spell more) and this time it’s for mage because I don’t see mage melee builds very often.

As a mage, you get more reach and aoe with your melee hits but you’ll have to be more careful due to your low base defense, as well as reduced heal potential.

Builds are below

Eidolon Air Melee
Eidolon has okay dps and allows you to move super fast as you’ll be using air items with it. You’ll also have decent survivability as you’ll be spending skill points on agility.

No neutral on base means that curse and courage can be used without a significant reduction to your dps.

Tons of Damage Earth Melee
The DPS on Gaia is absolutely insane.

If you don’t have Gaia, use Compiler. You’ll get around 6.6k dps instead.

Quake
Quake builds are pretty cool because they’re not like the typical melee build. They hit slowly and the damage comes in big bursts.

Compiler can hit around 24k quakes with this build. Gaia can hit around 30k+. Use Gaia if you have one.

Megabyte allows gamblers that aren’t as good to be in the build due to % defenses.

The Lethe
This wand is kinda strange, but it looks like it’s made for melee so I made tried making build for it, and it seems like it works when I build it like Harwrol. Plus it can use curse.

Fire Melee
Uhh this is okay I guess, damage is not the best for a mythic. Then again, you have courage. There’s no good substitute for Monster. In general, fire melee is not as viable for mage as better fire builds are sp tight and cannot fit Monster.

This wand sucks don’t use it or maybe it’s just better in poison build idk

This can solo wars with skill pots

 

I like it. Especially the one using Eidolon. But are they like viable in any way? I guess its enough for overworld mobs, but can you solo bosses with that?

 

It should be able to solo bosses as long as you’re careful and don’t get hit too much.
