I didn't quit or leave because I felt like it, but I want to go back to playing in the server but there is a small problem with my keyboard which is keeping me from playing said server.

UPDATE: At one point in 2015 (the year I started playing) I took a hiatus lasting several months, and I came back in April 2016, and from that point I started playing more or less consistently for about a year. At mid-April 2017 the UP-Arrow key on my keyboard wouldn’t work for a reason I still can’t figure out so I took a forced hiatus for over a month so by early June 2017 I downloaded Minecraft on a different computer and played on it and from late February until today, two keys wouldn’t work for a similar reason as the key above and only yesterday I figured out how to connect and configure a PS3 controller so I could play Wynn again.

Lack of content. Here's a fix: stop hogging the money for the admins and use that money to pay the CT. If you introduce money into the CT, you can also introduce DEADLINES *gasp.* Deadlines means more updates more faster.

First off, quality over quanity has been a large part of Wynn and, deadlines = badly made/unfinished things, secondly, this game is those guys full time jobs (Salted, Grian, and Jumla), they don’t have the money to pay the CT, and there’s the fact that the CT is voluntary work for the server so it’s unpaid. As much as I’d love updates quicker (wouldn't we all?) it just won’t happen with the way things run, and either way, every new update brings really amazing new content! Also it’s already one of the biggest and most detailed Minecraft maps EVER made, so stop complaining about content.

 

I kinda agree with Vaward on this one; if you work in “the business world”, as my business technology teacher calls it, chances are, you’re gonna have deadlines to follow. If you miss those deadlines, you’ll probably get fired or strictly warned.

Even if it’s not “the business world”, imagine this. You’re a middle school student, and you want to get accepted into the best high school in your state/province, but you need a letter of recommendation from a teacher to apply there. You tell the teacher to write the letter, and you ask them a day before it’s due to see if it’s done yet. And the teacher says that they couldn’t get it done because they had better things to do, and it will be done Soontm. This is ridiculous and uncalled for.

I understand that Wynn updates aren’t nearly as important as any irl things like these examples, but still.

 

Mainly becoz we are all volunteers working on a game we love as an interest instead of a job. Therefore we do things in a pace that allow us to handle the our lives on top of this. Not to mention it’s unfair to compare gaming businesses with staffs working 8 hours a day as a job professionally with us that’s mostly students and working adults that only have a handful of time to spare. Even if you pay us it won’t really change the fact that we’re working on this part time, so theres a limit to how things can be due to its nature.

Do you mean doing quests or doing csst? What grinding is there to be done now?

 

Still, I’m sure if you guys got paid even a little say $10 a month it would be at least some incentive. And besides, you guys are doing work. Though I have no idea how pausaibke this would work, and the most I’d ever spend for a video game (including dlc) is $40. So probably not the best idea, but still.

 

No replay value, I don't want to open a new class just to spend hours of grinding on it again. I will say though the server as a whole is very well done, and the quests are amazing,. It would be very neat if there was a way to replay the game but all the mobs do more damage or something along the lines of that, probably very hard to code though.

 

Anyway, for me just like everyone else it’s lack of stuff to do and real life stuff. At this point Wynncraft has enough content to be passed as a full game. It’s just that it’s over five years old. Any game, even triple A games, starts to sizzle out after the five year mark. And I’ve been on this server for a long time now, and at this point you’ve done everything you want to do. I never felt the need to reach level 100 because of the grind and the lack of content. Not to mention the plenty of other games I haven’t had the chance to get into.

As for the real life stuff, I’m starting college in mid-August and I work a part time job. I’ll probably play Wynn a little bit, but after August I’m done for good.

 

I got drafted so I don't have much spare time so I stopped playing the game, but I can still lurk here
