Yuno Gasai And Role Modeling (not High)

Yuno gasai. Yes, that Yuno gasai. The pink haired one that murdered a toddler. Killed thousands of people. Murders with an axe, mentally ill, killed parents by starving them to death. Yes, the Yuno Gasai i just mentioned… Is my role model? What?!?!? “But FanceDance,” You might be saying, “She’s a serial killer. She’s killed thousands. A murderous, mentally unstable yandere… Is your role model? Are you insane? Have you gone senile? Or are you just a vindictive, twisted elf bent on destroying little kid’s dreams!?!” Hush. My role model-yness has reasoning.

1: Commitment

So, this is something both Yuki and Yuno spend some time admiring; how committed she is. Not just did she win the game once, but she rewound the universe, and brought “Kill Yourself” To a whole new level. She’s passionate, strong and hard working. Is that not role-model material?

2: Independence​

Now, Yuno is very independent. She survives an entire year without her parents, who she murdered harshly, and thrived. She worked by herself for almost 2 full years, at some times alone, sometimes carrying Yuki as a deadweight during the game. She is almost completely independent. Independence is a good thing, isn’t it?

3: Smarts​

She is smart as hell, you’ve gotta give her that. When finding out she can’t bring Yuki back in reality’s 1st cycle, she finds a workaround VIA time travel. She’s also the highest performing student in School before Yuki gets his future diary and cheats. She also saves a lot of situations through a combination of knifework, axework, and smarts. Is being clever, really, so bad?

4: Yandere-ness​

So, this is the most of a stretch, but she sort of shows by accident how important it is to find someone, either to obsess over (My fave) or make friends (Ewww…). Now, she doesn’t have friends, but relationships in general are a large focus of the show.



Alright, now for the fun bit: If Yuno gasai is my role model, shouldn’t it be easy to draw similarities between Yuno and I? Well….


. Both easily obsess over things and people (Internet, Yuki, friends)

. Thinks ahead, planning, but sometimes becomes impulsive

. Mentally / emotionally unstable

. Forms habits easily (Yuki, People)

. Goes to extremes easily

. Gets dependent on people, very easily. (Hell, in the fucking heart wrenching final episodes Yuno says to Yuki “You and I both know I would’ve fallen for anyone who would’ve let me cling to them.” Direct Quote from yuno.

Oh shit the forum god themself. Thanks for being a great role model to all the kids out there, especially orphans that may feel lost, but can be rest assured they too can become powerful and smart. When I have kids, I'm showing them future diary. Thanks, yuno.

 

What, no, don't show them that anime, let them watch good stuff, not future dairy, that's some really hardcore stuff, heck I even was kinda freaked out by it
