Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Rose reels back a bit.
“I swear, I didn’t know I would cause her so much pain.”

Arga nods, heading towards the loom.
Anne just blinks.

 

"Oh, that." Shadow Stephanie says, before teleporting back to Stephanie.

Stephanie eventually walks over to Rose.

"It's alright. Really. I...didn't realise you were trying to save me." Stephanie says.

 

"So... what now?"

 

“No, it’s not, she said it’d just knock you out and it clearly did way more than that. I know it’s a lot to ask, but please forgive me, I swear I would’ve refused if I knew... this... would happen.” She says, flustered.

“I guess we wait? Or maybe think of another game to play?”

 

"I think things would be a lot worse if you hadn't stopped me. I forgive you." Stephanie says, smiling. She looks rather healthy, though she seems to be draining quite a lot of the surrounding magic.

 

Rose seems unsure, but doesn’t respond for a bit.
“...Thanks.” She nods, calming down slightly.

 

Stephanie smiles, cloak blowing slightly in the wind.

 

“So, uh... your mother said she’d let me study under her, I guess?” She asks, trying to calm her nerves.

 

"Yes, she's expecting you." Stephanie nods.

 

“Where would I go to see her?” Rose asks, finally easing up.

 

"The tree in the middle, Mother's home is just under it. I think." Stephanie says.

 

Rose nods.
“Thanks. I hope you get well soon.” She says, heading towards the tree in the middle and looking for an entryway.

 

“Thanks.”
I take it back, then fly off again.

 

The forest surrounding the tree is thick and full of life, making it hard to traverse through.

As Rose approaches the gigantic tree, a crack opens below her. Hands emerge from the crack, grabbing Rose and pulling her down into it.

Rose is deposited in a chair in a dark room, before candles suddenly light themselves. Praecantatia is visible on the opposite side of a table in her smaller form, dressed in a formal looking suit. Papers lay stacked in front of her, and a pen lies on Rose's side.

"Welcome, Rose. I've been expecting your arrival." Praecantatia says.

 

Rose seems startled, nervous.

“I, uh... I’m sorry to keep you waiting, and for your daughter.”

The skies are somewhat filled with airships, about thirty in sight over the area.

 

Praecantatia raises a hand, the room going silent.

"You've come here to train, correct?" Praecantatia asks, leaning forward slightly.

 

I observe the airships for a bit.

 

Rose nods.
“Learn, train, finally be able to practice something other than combat magic.”

They move somewhat slowly, but are strong enough to go against the winds without slowing down noticably. The amount of cargo is massive; half of them are essentially flying barges.

 

"Then you must be comfortable with a few rules I have in place for training." Praecantatia says, sliding a couple of sheets of paper toward Rose.

 

After a while, I start cruising around by flying, observing the areas.



Meanwhile, Voidfiller, dressed up as a pale but red-faced human in a suit, trots through a portal to the town hall where Keila was last dropped off.
