"Okay, I don't think I can scare them away. Do you have some sort of back door or something from which we could escape from?"

 

Rose heads over, curious.

There’s four open offices along with an opening out to airship docks.

“No, but you could stick around until closing. If you left with me, nobody’d stop you. Everyone knows I can turn anyone to stone, and I’m not required to turn anyone back.”

 

I head back, going to the shield instead.

 

Another four open offices, two bunk rooms, an armory, and a couple training grounds.

 

I decide to check out the training grounds, curious.

 

"Haha, yeah let's do that."

 

Gaia seems to be talking to her children, each taking a turn to speak with her.

 

Rose keeps quiet and at a distance, looking for signs of Cid.

"I didn't expect company, so you two will have to think of some way to kill the next two hours. Don't make a mess."

They're currently empty, but they seem to be mostly for target practice and sparring matches, little more.

 

Cid doesn't seem to be part of the group. Rose can't see Cid anywhere.

 

She opts to come a bit closer to the group, though clearly attempting to remain separate from the guardians.

 

Gaia notices, the fire guardians moving out of her way as she walks over to Rose.

"Hello, Rose." Gaia says, smiling.

 

She seems uneasy, but makes eye contact.
“Hello again, Lady Gaia.” She nods, unsure.

 

"Ehm.. what more do you have here except for clothes?"

 

I trot back, heading towards the way with the crown.

 

"I spoke to Praecantatia for you. She said she'd be willing to train you." Gaia says happily.

 

“Sewing machines, needles, replacement parts, looms, fabric, decorative beads and pearls, and a casting furnace.”

“Really?” Rose asks, surprised. “I... thank you so much. But... I, uh, won a duel at the arena and I feel bad for making him miss your visit.” She admits.

There’s another set of guards.
“Mind leaving your sword here? No weapons in the throne room.”

 

"Hm?" Gaia asks, confused.

 

"Yeah.. tailor stuff. Something to entertain ourself maybe?"

 

“What will I find in there?”

 

"I dueled someone, and won, and now I'm frustrated they're missing your visit."

"Royal family, guards, advisors. Nothing particularly exciting."

"I could make a checkers set out of fabric real quick." She offers.
