Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I think I just need some time to organise my thoughts." I say, getting up and opening a portal to the Shadow Palace.

 

"Oh.. them."
He gives an awkward wave in their direction.

 

I shake my head.
“No need for that. I’d simply like it back, that’s all.”

 

"Would you mind checking on Gaia for me while you're there?"

"Again, you're popular."

"Not a problem. Can we get a name to stick on it?" They ask, taking out a pen and a notepad.

 

"Thirteen."
I hand it over to the one without the pen and paper, sticking the handle towards them.

 

"Nothing we can do about it now, so it's best to just ignore it for the most part."

 

They take it, pressing the note against a random flat part.
"Alright mister Thirteen, keep that sword sheathed and you're welcome to roam anywhere that isn't the vault."

"How can you ignore them if they're blocking the one way out?"

 

I nod, starting to walk forward into the gates, unless they're not open yet.

 

"Uh, sure." I say dismissively, stepping through and closing the portal.

 

"I can scare them. Maybe."

 

“You’re going try and scare the people who chased off a raging hydra?”

 

"I'm sorry, what? A hydra? Like the thing with multiple heads?"

 

Ihra sighs, nobody opting to visit the Shadow Palace from the Void.


Rose leaves meditation, noticing frost forming on the ground.

“Yep, that hydra.”

They’re open, one guard waving as you go in.

 

I wave to them, checking out the interior once I'm inside.

 

It’s a wood-and-metal-beam style construction, the stone look seemingly only on the outside. There are high ceilings and plenty of windows, making the entryway feel extremely large and open.
There’s a few hall off to the sides, along with two open rooms visible on each side of the hall straight ahead.

 

"And.. the people outside.. they killed one?"

 

I look for any signs of where anywhere leads.

 

“Together, yes.”

The only signs are in the form of a compass design built with tiles on the floor.
Straight ahead has a crown, behind you has a sun, to your left is a shield, and to your right is a cloud.

 

The frost begins to melt, the heat of the area not allowing for it to stay.

Rose can sense a presence nearby, and quite a few people seem to be gathered around where it seems to be.

 

I head to the right.
