I went outside cause I thought Horold was upstairs.

If I didn't notice him: Yeah I'll be outside.
If he just came down as I left: I'll still be outside. :p
If he came down right before I left, I would sit back down.
If he was always down stairs: I wouldn't bother standing up.

 

Then you're still inside. Horold came down a little before you started to look at the bartender changing his mood.

 

If nothing comes up, I'll just finish breakfast.

I believe we went with the idea that you were dropped into this world. Maybe it's in the normal world, maybe it isn't. It's a big island.
