Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I nod.
"Thanks."
I make my way out of the jail.

 

Ihra sighs.
"No, no... that's not what... that's what I want to avoid."


"In fairness, they don't call it the wild for nothing."

"Yep. Do you have the money?"
"Yes, I've got it." Anne says, summoning a bag of coin.

"Have a good one, try not to get into any trouble."
The sunrise makes the sky outside orange.

 

"Why?" Artemis asks.


"True." the royal Shadow chuckles.

 

"Lasting damage to life... don't we have enough of that already?"


"Well, I appreciate your hospitality... though if you wouldn't mind having someone direct us to a room, I would appreciate being able to let them rest for a while."

 

"There you go."

 

Artemis pauses for a moment, before seeming to think; looking guilty.

I appear next to Artemis, looking a little surprised.

"What?" I ask, sounding a little offended.

"We're not humans. We don't act like humans. Humans are worse than we are, and we will not ally with them for their disgusting weapons." Artemis says to me with passionate anger.


"Certainly." the royal Shadow says, calling a nearby guard over.

"Please escort...I'm sorry, what was your name again?" the royal Shadow asks.

 

Arga counts it out before nodding.
"Alright, right this way."
Arga holds the door to the back of the room open.

Ihra seems a bit confused, keeping quiet.


"Miorah." She smiles.

 

"We're not allying with them, we're using them. Just like they've used my kind!" I say.

"I can't believe you. You really can't see the bigger picture?" Artemis asks.

"What bigger picture? We have a problem, we can't use magic. We have a solution, humans don't use magic and have powerful weapons." I respond.

"After all this time, you're acting like this. I thought you said you were more than just some genocidal demon." Artemis says.

"'Acting like this'? Be clear with me, Artemis! You seemed perfectly fine with the plan until now!" I say, annoyed.

"You should know." Artemis says, tears starting to roll down her face as she gets up, kicking her chair away and storming off.

"Artemis, wait-!" I say, taking a step forward before stopping myself, "Shit..."


"Please escort Miss Miorah to the guest bedrooms. She's going to be staying with us for a while." the royal Shadow says.

The guard nods, gesturing for Miorah to follow.

 

Ihra glances at you.
"Well, I guess that saves me from pointing out that maybe you were just looking to get rid of more humans."


Miorah waves once at the royal shadow before following the guard.

 

I just sigh, looking mad at myself.


The royal Shadow waves back with a smile.

The guard leads Miorah to an elevator, teleporting her to a hallway lined with doors. He pauses for a moment, looking at the doors before heading down the hallway.

 

Pause.
"Is now a good time to worry about Gaia resting in your vault?"


Miorah just follows silently.

 

"It's probably fine." I say, waving a hand.


The guard stops beside one of the doors.

"This is your room." The guard says, opening the door to reveal a large bedroom with a fireplace, window and bathroom.

 

Once I get outside, I take along around to see what there is.

 

Ihra keeps quiet, seeming a bit concerned.


Miorah nods and steps in.
"This is great, thanks."

Closed cafes, a bunch of tiny shops that only sell one thing, the occasional park, a massive area fenced off for airship repairs, and that seems to be all there is in this town (hold the tower and fort that serves as the other overnight holding area)

 

I just sit down, slamming my head into the table.


"Ask the guards if you need any assistance." The guard says, turning to leave.

 

"It'll be okay. You've been through too much together for that to be the last straw." Ihra says, worried.


"Will do." She nods, looking for any drawers.

 

"Come on, Anne."
He heads inside, presumming Anne jumps on his shoulder or atleast follow him.

 

Anne does choose to hop on your shoulder, letting you do the walking.

Arga brings you to a back room with a black suit that seems to be made for strength over show, and a small (Anne-sized) dress that has a "gown" that's about Anne's length.
Anne just goes bug-eyed, freezing up.

 

Bardock walks up to his suit.
"Heey, that looks really good. Don't you think so, Anne?"

 

"I know. I just hate arguing with her. I don't like making her feel like that." I say, sighing.


Now inside the room, Miorah can see a huge wardrobe with large drawers under it. Additionally, her bedside table also seems to have drawers.
