Generic Fantasy - [5/7]

There was the weird blue pedophile, who ducks out into a side path, along with a bunch of dead/dying mages spellcasting with reckless abandon around you. You can hear the ground itself erupting now, the beast roaring in pure primal rage.

One of the silhouettes begins speaking.
"We've been paid 200 Gold to kill you. It's just business. I'm sure you can understand."

You duck out of the square using a side road, miraculously finding a spellbook of teleportation in a nearby alley.
You emerge from the alley into a different street, one that's entirely quiet. You're in no danger whatsoever. Your shit is safe.

You leave the docks, making the wise decision that your ice sword is completely powerless in every way to combat the flames.
The weird stone monster seems to be getting... bigger? That may be a problem. At the very least, it looks like it's assimilating parts of the city wall.
As you enter further into the part of the city under its shadow, more and more wreckages appear, as well as spires of stone, erupted from the ground. Nobody's here.
After what is probably only 10 minutes of walking but feels like an hour, you arrive directly under it. It has a strange, bulky and long-armed form, simply having a base instead of legs.
In front of it lies a field of corpses, as well as those who were too stubborn to leave and will die fighting.

 

I look at the blue dude (yeah, that pedo is more important that you rock monster! >:T Rawr. Fight me!).
"..."

"Han. Have we seen him before?"
I beckon towards the blue aura and lightly float towards it. (Yes, I know I prob saw him before but it was right before the amulet incident. I bit of the time before the amulet is grasped is saved to the amulet's personality but not my current one. At least... that's how I'mma describe it. xD

Wait, do corpse have magic?
And can I see the dead spirits? >.> I might need to change my response if so.

I reach out to them.

I proceed to read the book of teleportation, while nothing dangerous or bad is happening to me.

 

According to my backstory and some rules I established in it (whatever or not HM agress to them), after death souls ascend to higher plane, UNLESS they have so caleed "unfinshed buisness", which basically means something happend to them in their life that keeps strong emotions in them, like getting murdered for instance. This also how I managed to put so many souls into the scroll of the Fusion of the Planes.

 

I was assuming there would be a period of time where they still exist on this plane, as higher beings are determining where to place the soul (Hell, Heeven, etc. ;p)
But if that doesn't work, o well. xD

o. Shouldn't there be alot of ghosts floating around then? Killed by a rock, failire to protect the town, etc? >.<

I think you'd just reform a few days later? Pretty sure the only way for you to straight up be done is finding your memories and finishing your business or a banishment of some sort.

Apparently, one of the mages was angry enough and had enough resolve not to dissolve into light and leave the mortal coil, and you somehow doubt that he's noticed that he's died. He's sure not paying attention to his corpse, and still blasts on until you grab his attention.
"Aaah! A ghost!"
He looks down.
"AAAH! I'M A GHOST!"

I'm just going to go with EGS immortal rules, because they're so damn convenient:
Ghosts can become invisible or visible to mortals and to each other at will, although this takes a small amount of effort to learn and they can't do it right off the bat. Sort of like bike-riding.
Also, Ling being fully capable of interacting with the physical plane shows that once in an undead ethereal state, they're nearly as strong as before with the caveat of never being able to be stopped, as they could probably reform. Business probably gets finished as much as new ghosts emerge.

Nothing bad happens to you, but some people are doing annoyingly overdramatic negotiations up the street and apparently throwing a book into an alley for a few years is bad because the pages are illegible and rotting.
The weird rock creature keeps being annoying 500 or so feet behind you, wrecking more and more of the city's magic district.

"I don't know. I guess your friends could ask the guy if they paid us enough to get out of the ambush. You, however, are worth 200. Is it dawning on you, no-"
A piece of building thrown by a massive stone monster revealed by the smoke wipes out half the block they're standing on.
22/27 of the death squad killed by poorly veiled deus ex machina, apparently.

 

Oh cool. Now I'm kinda afraid to retrieve all my memories cause that would kick me out of this game. >.>
Just gonna subtly change it to 'has to beat he God that started this hell for me' or smth. xD

Wait... so I see spirits in perfect detail? Or did his spirit just have enough magic to perfectly detail it for me?

Uh... I haven't yet actually. Everything I've interacted with has magic so far. To open the door, it has to have had magic. Otherwise, I just walked through people, walls, and the stairs... at least.. according to your old responses to me.
Of course, I could attack your soul directly... but I can't move a normal pebble on the ground unless I expand alot of effort. .>

Neat. How much of this do I know?

Pretty good, however I would like to suggest that souls can be completely destroyed if they are used up as a source of energy, like for instance being used to power the croll of the Fusion of the Planes. I suggest this becouse it would put a real thread on dead players becouse there still would be a possibility for them to completely die off. Also I don't quite understand the last sentance, are you saying that ghosts eventually ascend even if they didn't resolve their "unfinished buisness" if new ghosts appear?

If I put Delyed Bomb on it can I turn it entierly into a bomb?

 

That sounds really dangerous...

New ruling for thr bomb, can't be cast on animate/living objects? Cause there needs to be something stopping you from casting it on the world... >.>
Or maybe it just creates and places a tiny invisible explosive? So that the entire objevt isn't a bomb, just where you specified.

 

It works the same way Killer Queen does in JJBA.

Blade of grass, biggest explosion, and I'll transport myself to a diff plane real quickly.
And you can have more than one?
But, here you don't have to make an action to trigger it. You just will it to explode.
And when people touch it (cookies) it doesn't explode on contact.

So, after seeing what's going on with that girl, I keep walking and look for... actually, just any criminals or people down on their luck.

If Eradius blows up this city too, I'm just becoming a wilderness bandit. Much less contact with deranged city-destroying god-wizards.
