Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I'm sure she'd be understanding." The fire guardian shrugs.


Artemis heads out, looking for the portal room.


Tenebrae smiles, storing them away delicately.


The guards nod, and open the gates for Miorah.

 

"Oh right. Just.. pretend like you don't know. Don't make it obvious."

 

Yes.

 

“She was enraged when I first encountered her.”


Gaia’s emblem is no longer glowing on the wheel.


There’s also a tiny note she seems to have missed.
“Mis Tenebra,
I hop you taek care of mistr fluffls, he wus a gift from granma. Tank you for your help.”

“I’ll do my best.”

There’s a guard holding an Amethyst sword standing near the gate.
“You Thirteen’s bud?”

 

“Yeah.”
He retracts his wings.

 

"Did she know you'd harmed her daughter?" The fire guardian asks.


Artemis looks at the wheel blankly for a bit, before looking at other options.


Tenebrae smiles, keeping the note on her.


The guards just watch Miorah, keeping the gates open.

 

“I’ll introduce myself on the way.” He says, getting up and signalling Voidfiller to follow.

“Yes.”


There’s the void symbol and the wind symbol.


Miorah pauses.
“Is there a specific room I should go to?”

 

“A’ight.”
Voidfiller slithers along the ground to follow.

 

"Oh...well...that might make things difficult." The fire guardian says.


Artemis turns it to the wind symbol.


"You may visit the royalty." One of the guards says.

 

“Bingo.”


A yellow portal opens, Idhaenna visible on the other side sighing before looking through.


Miorah nods, heading to the throne room.

After a few quiet minutes of walking, the guard breaks the silence.
“Mind telling me your name?”

 

“Voidfiller. You?”
A strange, almost metallic whooshing comes from Voidfiller direction as he talks.

 

“Mel. You know what that sound was?” He asks, not seeming to really care.

 

“This.”
A red yo-yo streaks past Mel’s face, retracting back to Voidfiller.
“Why’s Thirteen even in here?”

 

"Well...hopefully she won't kill you on sight." The fire guardian says, unsure what to say.


Curious, Artemis turns it to the void symbol.


A royal looking Shadow seems to be waiting near to the two giant thrones, walking over to Miorah when she enters. Eve appears to also be present, sitting between the two thrones.

"Ah, hello. I'm sorry to say the king and queen currently aren't here. I can complete most things they can in their absence, however." The royal Shadow says.

 

“We try to keep everyone inside at night unless they have a job. He’s just exploring. Don’t worry about it, this isn’t a prison. Just a safety thing.”

“That’s why Gaia’s talking to her, not me.” Rose sighs.


The portal room turns back to its normal state.


“Tenebrae sent me here, I’m not quite sure why.”

 

“A’ight. Good.”

 

"That's all I'm asking. Thank you."

 

"I'm sure she'll be able to calm her down." The fire guardian says positively.


Artemis looks for any other portal options.


"Oh. Did...she say anything about you coming here?" The royal Shadow asks.

 

“Sorry for the sour welcome, though. We just try and minimize people on the streets at night. I gave him a puzzle book and some pencils, if that makes you any happier about it.”

“I have faith.” Rose nods.


None others are lit.


“Just to go see the royalty.”

“No problem.”

 

The fire guardian smiles, though isn't sure how to continue the conversation.


Artemis leaves the portal room, heading to the library.


"Oh...do you have any connections to them? Or items they might have a relation to?" The royal Shadow asks.
