And no I don't mean a smaller one with under a million subs. I'm talking about MAJOR ones like Unspeakablegaming or danTDM. I couldn't care less about the youtubers themselves but rather the legions of fanboys that arrive following them. This would almost ruin the game for a lot of people in many ways.

-If said youtuber was on a server than chances are people can use /find to locate them hopefully join them. When the server is filled up, chances are there will be hundreds of fanboys still clicking to hopefully get in. I'm no expert on how stable wynn's servers actually are, but chances are this will cause some server-crashing bugs.

-It would kill the already struggling economy.

-The games fan base will become MUCH less friendly (The ratio of salty kids to Seasoned players will be much different)

-Group quests such as ??? will be nearly impossible (From my experience, kids have a tendency to post things that are completely irrelevant. The current community solved the whole thing in like what a month?)

I don't know if this is just me hearing rumors of these fanbases being destroyers of servers or whatnot or what. But it just seams to me like a big youtuber finding this server would mean its doom. Anyone else think this?

    Edit: Added poll

Edit # 2; I'm honestly surprised at how close the poll is. 90% of the comments say that the server won't be affected by this, yet as of me writing this it is 38 yes/50 no.

Pretty sure most of the community agrees. Put up a poll and we can see just how many agree with it.

    I’m sure a lot.

I really DO dislike the youtubers that are ovar 1mil (a few exceptions, but most use clickbait and have a community of toxic kids)

I'm almost positive every single major MC youtuber knows of Wynncraft, and the reason they haven't done a series is due to them thinking it wouldn't be worth doing so.

Lets face it, a younger audience would be bored out of their minds once they got to the smallest bit of grinding. They (and possibly the youtuber himself) will probably quit before they level up to any of the group quests. Sure, the server would have a ton of players for a while, but eventually it would all die down and we could gain some new people. I definitely would not be opposed to Wynn getting some more people. Everyone says minecraft youtubers have toxic fanbases (I won't deny that), but we always get some great new members of the community when something like this happens. Besides, more people ---> more people buying stuff and supporting the server.

There are exactly 11 Minecraft YouTubers have 5 mil subs or higher, not to mention all of the high sub counts minecraft channels target little kids with mini games or showcase series that doesnt require a lot of time and investment. They wont even start a Wynncraft series because compare to those highly excitable daily minigames or showcases, Wynncraft is a long term game that is boring in comparison and require tons of investment of time and mentality, so no, I highly doubt they will dig their own grave and start a series on Wynncraft simply because it is not profitable for their fan base

The largest youtubers that have made a series on Wynncraft are around 1 mil subs, and those usually target older audiences like pre-teens or teenagers with long series such as SMPs and wt not. In fact, Im sure a lot of our community members were also brought by some of those youtubers (including myself by BDoubleO100 4 years ago). So if a so-called large youtuber were to make a series on Wynncraft, I am sure its less of a disaster and more of an oppotunity.

Further more, people that enjoy watching wynncraft doesnt mean people will enjoy playing wynncraft, a lot of younger minecraft players prefers excitable mini games over the long adventure type wynncraft. Not to mention there are community members that are what you would called "kids" and they fit in fine. I once had a friend (that quitted now sadly) that we conversed and did quests together a long while ago and turned out he was 9 years old, which was like half of my age at that time.

All in all, theres nothing you can achieve by making this post really, we shouldnt be hostile to any new players brought by media exposures, in fact, if anyone is *afraid* they would have immature behaviours, it is our job to teach them the proper ways of enjoying wynncraft.

Already happened before, Multiple times (Remember Lancey?).
In the end Wynn and the playerbase were the ones profiting,I can only assume there was a slight spike in income every time this sort of thing happened, That's about it.
The wave of "Little kids" the YouTubers brought with them simply vanished a month or so later, Soon as they realized you have to actually read stuff in order to progress in the game.

Personally I think that the main reason why Wynncraft has one of the best communities in Minecraft is because its mainly PvE and not PvP, so there is very little room for tryharders. The moment when people didn't enjoy the game anymore and only played for winning and defeating others rather than having fun was the moment when the minecraft community turned so toxic as it is right now.
But larger Youtubers won't change that. The "kiddies" that they could bring to Wynncraft would play for a few minutes and then become bored because they can't "reck ez noobs" and quit.
Also for the lag, we have already things like CSST and item bomb parties; and they don't make servers crash. And if it really would become a problem, it shouldn't be too difficult to add something like a nickname-tool for larger Youtubers.

I feared this from the time I joined Wynncraft. The Fanboys you speak of will leave within a few months or so, but they will leave a stain of such people. The cycle repeats itself, and a stain eventually grows to fill the wall it sits on.

personally I don't agree with most of these points in their entirety.

The first comment is definitely a problem, but we already know how wynncraft handles this! 1 word, 4 letters, starts with CS, ends with ST. It will always be a problem, regardless of whether a single person is the target, or a dungeon bomb. This is a bad point IMO.

The economy, again, was already bad to begin with. It's not hard to make it worse, so throwing more people into the mix might force the CT to take action sooner in fixing it rather than later. There is always a bright side IMO.

You can't control people, much less how they act, and far less when they're young. I first came to wynncraft because of a popular youtuber InTheLittleWoods and have stayed active in the community and on forums, just like @SilverMirror . @WithTheFish @WynnChairman I'd be lieing if I said I wasn't proof of your comments being completely false. People can fall in love with a game and stay attached to it. It happens. Playing a game, despite being difficult or tedious at times, can still be rewarding, even for little kids.

??? is already nearly impossible for the 'grown-ups' playing right now. You're assuming everyone playing wynncraft rn before a major youtuber possibly comes is capable of completing that long af quest. I hated all the 3-4 hours I spent on that quest. It was difficult and more or less completely useless, and I only did it for the free xp set. Everyone else probably agrees to some degree, that quest is hard for everyone, not just little kids. I've only done it once and never want to do it again, regardless of having to buy a separate xp set just to gain levels faster.

Wynncraft has a stronger, more mature hardcore base that won't let itself fall apart over a few hundred thousand or even million extra players. We've all seen it in the past, wynncraft only grows when more people see it. You're not predicting the future, you're spreading fake hate and fear mongering. I don't like it. Simple as that.

um just because your an exception to the rule doesnt mean the rule is wrong
theres not a single youtuber whose entire channel isnt wynncraft related thats had a full run through of the game and most dont even get past like lvl 30. even the guy you mentioned only went up to episode 14 and lvl 21. why did they stop? well cuz it just doesnt bring in enough views, which in turn reflects the viewers' general opinion of the server. while its true that people can stick around after discovering the server through a youtuber, seeing as how most viewers obviously generally dislike the server, they would leave pretty soon which is what i meant

    Your 'rule':
is not a rule if people defy the 'rule' by staying longer than 'like a month or so' as myself and others did. Hence, yes your rule (an absolute) is wrong. Abolutes don't work when they're easy to disprove, or literally embodied by people you're talking to...

No, that's what the comments section is for. People make content they love and hope to make better, but stop getting views and can't sustain the environment. Just look at GullofDoom. He tried to make starbound videos, and loved the game, but it wasn't sustainable because too few people watched. That is why single focus channels on YT don't float. No one can do a single thing and get by in the modern YT and streaming environment, that is why they fail; not because it's not interesting content or fun content, but becuase viewers like looking at new things, not 'old' things. MMOs are meant to be played, not watched. Watching someone play an MMO isn't fun unless it's through a livestream where people can interact with the person and create content of their own outside of the relatively repetetive game world.

If someone doesn't like the game or the MMO genre, then they weren't probably planning on playing in the first place, and likely won't play at all. Yes there'll be a spike of people hunting the streamer/youtuber in the hopes of getting noticed by senpai, but that group will always follow the entity (person) rather than the game. That doesn't mean the game is bad or that people don't like the game; they just like the streamer/youtuber more. I just had this conversation in another thread. Correlation != Causation

I’ve seen countless of my favorite servers destroyed by these children. The community is what makes this server so enjoyable. If a large youtuber were to join, the legion of sweaty fetuses would surely be the end of Wynncraft... just look at what they did to poor Hypixel

really this isn't something to be worried about

It's hard to be a tryhard and a youtuber fanboy at the same time in wynn
    Due to requiring a ton of time to level up, fanboys end up leaving after learning i t ' s p v e n o t p v p
Take another server (it starts with h and ends in ypixel)
You see, the only thing you need to do to win is know how to aim your mouse
No extra work required, it's all based on pure skill
you're put at the same advantage in a game as everyone else (in terms of gameplay wise)
but it wynn, you need to level up, and higher leveled people have an advantage over lower leveled people

    CSST exists
    it's like looking for csst

the fanboys can't get past level 10 without loosing their attention

Toxicity is a problem with fanboys
but then they spend their time harassing the caravan driver and leave soon

Theres something magical called "locking the thread"

I joined the game because of a youtuber named ChimneySwift11
and does the game suck? no

Also i wanted to make a small compilation of the people who joined to youtubers and admitted in this thread:
