Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Mulyrlox, Therus. Cliffside overnight holding cell. Look for the split portal, head through, take to the skies 'til you get to the mainland. You'll see a fortress built partially on the side of a cliff. Land there, and the guards'll know who you are." Idhaenna grumbles, revealing a set of four portals.

 

"Uh, a'ight."
He quickly says, peeking through the nearest portal for a split portal.

 

Cid slows, trying to heat himself back up with a jet of flame.

 

"Yeah, she thankfully knows some healing magic. And it leaves cute little paw marks."

 

"That's adorable. I assume they wash off?"

That gives Rose enough time to leap over his cover and blast down a plasma bolt onto him, vines lashing out in an attempt to seal off his escape.

There's a portal that leads to a forest on one side and a castle room in the other; likely what she was in reference to.

 

"Yes, ofcourse. I believe I got most of them off."

 

"It does make it obvious how she channels her magic, though." He comments.

 

Cid's hit dead on by the plasma bolt, armour absorbing some of the hit but not all. Cid tries to recover, but seems weakened by the attack.

 

"Merciful execution, unless you're going to let an inner dragon out to play." Rose calls, some vines snaking around his limbs to snare him as others heft the stone he used as cover in preparation to crush him.
She draws some heat away from him while preparing another plasma bolt.

 

"What do you mean? You talking about how she uses her paws?"

 

“Yes. Hopefully getting them dirty wouldn’t slow the process, if her magic flows through her paws.”

 

Cid tries to fight back, but his weakness and lack of heat ends up making him unable to move or do anything.

 

Rose blasts him with another plasma bolt squarely in the chest before crushing him with the stone.

 

Cid's armour breaks, and the stone is enough to kill him. It seems the crushing force of the stone was enough to split him in half.

 

Rose seems worried, looking around to see where his soul is as she retracts her vines and picks up her thrown rose.

 

Rose can't see Cid's soul anywhere nearby, though she notices a few fire guardians looking into the arena.

 

She peeks up.
“He said souls would be fine... is he okay?!” She calls, panicking.

 

The fire guardians can't seem to hear Rose properly through the glass of the dome, just watching and looking confused.

 

She glances around before heading back towards her entrance, still nervous. If open, she heads back through it.

 

The fire guardians disperse, going back to their training. A warm breeze blows by Rose.
