I look for a way out of the sewers. I also try recasting Alter Self and I try changing into Dez again.

Drinking the blood of my enemies (fvkcing grapes! I will end you all!) sounds pretty fun. >.< But the blood didn't die so it's not a spirit... rip, not gonna get any blood sacrifices any time soon...

I just realized what you were doing... (totally wasn't searching it up)
So there are a few more ways to put out an oil fire.

1. Place a lid on top.
2. Cover it with enough dead bodies to suffocate the flames.
3. Get a boat load (and then some) of baking soda/sand/dirt
4. Fire extinguishers.
5. (Can you freeze flames?)

If none of these work, I recommend calling the fire dep- wait. How well organized is the government? .-.

 

I just revamped a huge amount of magic system (mainly related to combat) while listening to "Through the Fire and Flames" on loop for like 3 hours.
I've paid no attention to balance whatsoever and wrote this post expressly to make things a bit interesting again. Happy playtesting!

Momentarily suck all magic out of the space surrounding 1 target, putting extremely low pressure on their soul and dealing 7 damage. The spell will fail if it will result in the death of the target.

Kae and Thorston (and Dez, now, I guess) technically being in the future makes the end result glaringly obvious, I assume.

It works. Oh, it works. You can feel it, really. The magic void is gone, replaced momentarily by a massive yield, at least 2 orders of magnitude larger.
You manage to get out a Polymorph Tier VII before it's gone. The transformation will last 4 hours and fool truesight spells that I haven't made yet, but that's about it for the differences with this casting. With your credentials, you know the explanation, but it's a bit troubling.

Magic shockwave, probably. Someone, somewhere in the world just released a huge amount of stored magic from an artifact or something similar. Judging from what you know, the remains of the wave will circle the planet in about 6 hours and give you another short boost, +2 instead of +7.

Eradius still doesn't know what the void was, and I've already confirmed I have no idea what Tsu's character just did.

Oh, yeah, your character clearly doesn't know this, but the lord of the region got assassinated like 2 days ago. City's running on inertia at this point.
You, on the other hand, are momentarily practically swimming in magic for some completely unknown reason. The void you made is completely gone, replaced with super-saturated magic.
Sort of on instinct, you absorb the brunt of what goes your way. Easy, since a soul is basically just concentrated magic. You're like a sponge, and this counts for about 9 of them.
You're like 10x the soul now, and I guess figure out a way to fashion them out of surrounding magic via meditation? You're like a god now.
Enjoy the usable spirit spells, even if Ling doesn't know about it.

Fun note I wrote Eradius' response before your and just now decided that you at least deserve a small powerup for the good roleplay.
I mean it's less a powerup and more 'got the power' in the first place but still.

Dez:"Someone look after my bird while I'm gone" Then once we all go outside I turn myself into Leren and follow them

 

???: "THE SOUL ERADIUS, THE SOUL!"
Eradius: "Huh?"
???: "THE SPIRIT YOU MET JUST BEFORE, IT CHANGED SOMEHOW, I CAN FEEL IT."
Eradius: "Yeah? So what?"
???: "SO WHAT? USE THE SCROLL AND CAPTURE IT."
Eradius: "Alright, I guess."
I attempt to try doing what the voice in my head told me, and try to find the spirit that Eradius saw before.

At least since it's memorial day weekend and I can afford the time, It seems like a good idea to post once when I wake up and once at night. Maybe I'll do this full time during summer? Or maybe I'll just respond faster in general.

Hmm... So I guess you can see spirits because they're condensed magic, but can't see people because those souls are crammed in a meaty shell and unavailable? Sure. It's a while, but....

Everyone in your party is leaving with you, so you end up having to take the bird anyway. That brings your group's total to:

Minion 2 looks at you use the spell and gets confused for a bit.

You trace back the short distance to where you were, and sure enough the spirit's still there, sitting and crying. Oddly enough, it looks both slightly brighter and older than last time, along with the cat behind it that would now probably go up to your knee.

 

I try to imitate Lerens body voice and say
Lerez:"Think of it how you like"

When he starts liking me he'll get a name

I pull out the scroll of Fusion of the Planes and try capturing the soul inside of it.

Also I changed some stuff in the OP post under 'Basic Info' and did a bit more behind-the-scenes work

I changed/gave concrete damage values to a bunch of damage spells.
Also, the raven starts liking you when you either prove your worth it just give it a name.

You begin stealthily walking, avoiding large crowds where the murderous lunatics could be and such.
Your imitation of the voice doesn't go very well, mainly because it's still your voice and you haven't lost the desert accent.
Mook 2: "uuuh.. that answers the question, I guess. I'm Binio, what's your name?"

It fails miserably, mainly because right now the scroll is just a piece of paper. You'll need some soul binding spell for that. Maybe somewhere in your tome?

You notice his attempt, but also the fact that he utterly failed to complete his objective, which you quite quickly realize was malicious mostly thanks to the look on his face.
After the wave, the magic definitely came back, and the scroll the man is holding is ludicrously bright, giving the magic 'sun' a run for its money.
It's hard to tell, but Han looks... bigger, somehow?

I check my tome for the spell.
Edit: There's actually a piece of my backstory that I never got to mention that explains how I use the scroll to capture souls, but for the sake of not just killing one of characters I won't mention it.

 

(I can see Eradius' face?)

If I recognize him: "I'll show my sincerity later. He came back and I'm getting bad feelings from him..."
