"... Just wondering, what are your abilities classified under?"

“I don’t know? Miscellaneous?” Jay shrugs. “My powers aren’t really categozied I guess.”

I shrug.
"Mine aren't either really... I honestly think they need a new categorization system."

 

Jay sighs. “Yeah I guess...” Then he says, “So uh, why does Aquila not want to talk about the Magia Tenebris?”

 

Frick, he got back on track. xD
"I thought I explained it?"

 

“You just said ‘random encounters’ yet Aquila seems pretty sensitive on the topic.”

 

I lean in and whisper to him.
"Hey, she's a girl. We don't mention sensitive topics around them in case they attack us."

 

That gets you a snort from Jay. “No but seriously. Why is she silent and uncooperative for once. She’s acting differently.”

 

I lean back at Kayla.
"I wonder why?"

 

Jay takes the hint. “So some history I probably shouldn’t dive into?”

 

If he took the hint, he wouldn't say it. .-.
I shrug.
"You want to risk asking her and having her freeze the next food item you're gonna eat?"

 

“I’ll pass...” Jay sighs. “So is that like....it? You just brought me here so I don’t tell the others about this secret?”

 

" A few other things as well actually... What did you think of that group we just fought?"

I’m actually fine with the short and quick responses. I’ve bren doing the majority of this conversation on mobile so yeh.

“I think they’re disgusting. Almost cheating out on their side of the trade, that guy having that smug smile on his face, his ‘girlie’ slang, all of that pissed me off.”

 

"Mhm..."
"Aside from his personality, what else did you think of him and the rest of his group?"

Oh, okay. xD *phew*

 

“Uh, I don’t know. They don’t seem to rely on magic too much unlike us. And they rely on barriers way too much when it comes to using magic...”

 

I nod my head.
"So who do you think would win if we were all at peak condition?"

 

“I’ll be honest, Arya could probably single handedly beat them if they had no sort of leverage against us and if she’s not completely drained of energy.” Jay shrugs. “They can easily gain leverage though. A single hit from a poison daubed arrow can be their leverage against us because we don’t have a cure. So I don’t really know.”

 

"Good that you noticed that. From what I see, their group is tightly knit together. They all treat each other as family. Our group however? We're all just friends. As such, they know each other like the back of their hands, allowing them to coordinate with one another better. Out group... well... there's Ken as an example. And I wonder how that may affect our prowess on the battlefield?"
