Gaia smiles.

"I can take you to the fire guardian's area if you'd like to rest there." Gaia offers.

 

“I would be interested in meeting your children of my element.” Rose nods. “Of course, if it’s any trouble, I’m fine staying here.”

 

I check out the people on the island.

 

OOC: Island as in where you started?

 

"Not at all." Gaia says, leaving her meditative stance and walking a short distance away from the table, before growing to her normal size and changing to her fire guardian form.

Gaia kneels down and lowers a hand next to the table for Rose to get on.

 

Rose climbs on with bouquet slung over her shoulder, seeming in a much better mood.

 

Gaia lifts her hand and gets up, walking through her peaceful field. Gaia's hand feels warm and comforting, like the warmth of a fireplace.

 

Rose sits down, content.
“Tenebrae was right... these are the days I so fondly remember. When fire was life, not ruin...” She sighs.

 

"Fire can be extremely destructive, but it can also incite and help life. The ash of a tree can fertilise a field. While a forest fire can destroy acres, in time, the forest will grow back thicker and healthier than before," Gaia explains, "While fire can burn flesh, it can also cauterise wounds."

 

Rose nods.
"Pretty much everything's part of some cycle."

 

"Balance is key." Gaia says as she walks toward what looks to be a huge stone altar. As Gaia approaches, a portal opens to a rocky area, hot air blasting through. Gaia steps through the portal onto a volcanic field, jets of steam and bursts of lava occasionally spouting from cracks in the ground. Large volcanoes surround the area, houses built into them. Fire guardians walk about the area, some of them in the form of dragons.

There's a clanging sound nearby, and a fire guardian appears to be working with an anvil next to the outlet of one of the volcanoes, lava pouring through.

 

"Yeah.. I know. It's fine, don't worry."

 

"This reminds me a lot of hell. Everything's so calm, tucked out of the way of everything else." Rose says, mostly to herself.

"Well, either way, you're going to be very happy with Arga's work. She wouldn't tell any of us who they were for, and you've got the whole village buzzing."

 

"Mortius' hell is...different. I designed this area to be a paradise for my fire guardians. Mortius tortures those that have led a life of evil." Gaia says, walking through the area. Many fire guardians smile and wave to Gaia, some even bowing.

Gaia walks over to a volcano with a small sky-blue pod floating on it's surface, it's inside looking soft with a pillow.

"You can rest in here if you'd like. I can assure you the magma will not touch you and you can sleep within it's warmth." Gaia says happily.

 

"I'm just glad I don't have to kill to be let out of Atavul's grasp... I think I'd rather explore, meet a few people maybe... if that's okay."

 

"That's completely fine. I'll contact Praecantatia while you do." Gaia says, lowering Rose to the ground next to the volcano.

 

Rose bows before stepping off.
"Thank you again, Gaia. I hope I make your efforts worth every second." She says, adding the tulip to her bouquet.

 

"It's been my pleasure." Gaia says happily.

Gaia smiles, before walking off in the direction she came.

 

Rose heads down the volcano, scoping out nearby fire guardians she could introduce herself to.

 

There's a fire guardian sitting in a pool of lava, a fire guardian resting as a dragon and an odd looking fire guardian with dragon wings sprouting from their back, despite being in their human form.
