Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"No.. I was born in Aurilon. I don't know how old I was when I fled from the town, but I was still pretty young. Probably around 10 or something."

 

“Ah, I see. Well... I would appreciate it immensely if you could help me get in contact with her. What you said about her is... something I’ve been hoping to find for a long time.”

“Oof, tail end of the war was rough. Glad you made it, though.”

 

"I shall." Tenebrae says.

 

"Yeah, I did. Can't say that about the rest of my family."

 

Rose bows, unmoving.

“I... know several stories like that. A few of my friends here. I had that happen to me as well, but my parents were from Vyraxis.”

 

A short while later, a portal opens in front of Rose. It leads to a lush green paradise, the sound of birdsong coming from it.

 

"That's what war does. Just a bunch of victims to the worthless violence."

 

I fly to it, checking it out.

 

Rose sits up, a bit unsure before poking her head through and glancing around.
“...Hello?”

It seems to all be one densely populated area, hold a crater with a meteor sitting in the middle.

There’s purple and red stripe designs on some larger buildings, as well as what appear to be airship docks.

“Right? Sort of dumb how war is powerful people throwing less powerful people at each other while they sit back and watch the chaos.”

 

Gaia seems to be sitting at a table made out of trees, smiling at Rose as she pokes her head through. An empty tree-chair seems to be opposite her with a cup in front of it.

 

"And they barely even get anything out of it, except death."

 

Rose steps through, nervous.
“...Lady Gaia?”

“I wonder how much it’d change if they just got off their high horse and fought each other themselves.”

 

"Have a seat." Gaia says, smiling, gesturing to the chair opposite her. Steam rises from the cup in front of it, and Gaia takes a sip from her own.

 

Rose does as instucted, setting her bouquet on her lap before looking at Gaia with slight unease.

 

"Would be over pretty soon. They probably don't even have any fighting abilities."

 

A cup of herbal tea rests in front of Rose, a few leaves floating about in it.

"Is something wrong?" Gaia asks, concerned, sensing Rose's unease.

 

Rose nods, glancing at the cup.
“Is this for me?” She asks, still uncertain.

“It’s almost scary how much power having a bunch of money brings. You’re probably right, though. Armies hide cowards.”

 

Gaia nods.

"Tenebrae told me you wanted to discuss something." Gaia says happily.

 

“I owe her too much...” Rose sighs, nodding. “But, yes. I used to be Atavul’s advisor, and have been exiled recently. I... don’t know what to do next. I was pointed your way in terms of a new god to follow.”

 

"What powers do you possess?" Gaia asks, sipping her tea.
