Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Large dark hands appear in front of Artemis' own, grabbing on to the crystal with great strength.

 

Even then, it's too heavy to carry. You'll have to either overexert or put it down.

 

Artemis lifts the crystal down to the ground, using gravity to help carry the load.

 

Once the crystal's on the ground, a fae approaches Artemis from behind.
"...We didn't want you to worry..."

 

Artemis immediately spins around, dexterously equipping her bow and pulling back an arrow aimed at the faerie within a mere second. However, once Artemis sees the faeire isn't a threat, she removes her arrow, releasing the (rather strong) tension from her bow string.

 

They dart under a rock, fleeing the room afterwards.

 

Artemis sighs, looking at the crystal.

Onyx chases the faerie out of the room happily.

 

Gaia clutches her chest, frozen in pain.

The fae leaves sleep-inducing spores in its wake, scared.

 

Artemis looks back at where the crystal came from, seeing if anything changed.

Onyx tries to not breathe in the spores, slowing down to bat them away with her paws.

 

Nothing, but the flowers show signs that they will soon start to wither.

She winds up finding herself quickly running out of breath.

 

Artemis looks a little nervous, trying to lift up the crystal again with the added strength.

Onyx changes to her humanoid form, waving away the spores and trying to breathe.

 

Still too heavy.

The spores hardly slow down her humanoid form, but the fae flies straight up in response.

 

The hands grow a little bigger in response, and Artemis' legs turn darker for added strength.

Onyx looks back, trying to find Artemis and I again.

 

This winds up being just enough, but it’s still exhausting to lift and carry.

Sgavrinn is now between her and you two.

 

Artemis' black wings double in size, pushing hard to lift her off the ground. Artemis' eyes glow green as she exerts power to lifting the crystal.

 

It’s now off the ground and in her hands, but she’ll have to move fast before she exhausts both you and herself.

 

Artemis pushes herself to lift the crystal and put it back inside Gaia's body.

 

It fits easily, but the stone holding it in has already crumbled away.

 

Artemis grows a mass of vines, trees and stretchy ivy around the crystal, using Gaia's legs for further support to hold it in place.

 

It holds the crystal in somewhat well, though the plants clearly can’t hold it in without Artemis there holding it up.
