Spoiler: History of the Skull Vol. 1

The Skull. A masterpiece of architecture, magic, and divine might. It’s the seat of the Church of Ravinia. Originally a fortress for powerful warlords, the first of which being a warlocked called Judos The Kingslayer, the church has begin using it for their own causes. It’s seated within the mountains, in a defendable position. Mountains flank it’s West side, and most of the East side. Only a small pass to the Southeast allows for travel through the Eastern mountains, which the Church is taking care to fortify. The only large entrances are to the North and South, and each of these paths is guarded by a city in line with the East mountains. There’s no contest for The Skulls position, having limited routes to attack it by, and likewise always having a clear escape route.


The Skull was originally made by Judos in ages past. Judos slaughtered countless creatures, and sent out expeditions to bring back the corpses of the largest creatures that could be found. These large creatures yielded the large bones from which, through the use of transmutation magic, created the bone-bricks of The Skull. Eventually, to help secure The Skull, more magic was used on these bone-bricks, fusing them, and turning them into solid pieces of bone. Now, the whole Skull is truly that, a single gigantic bone skull.


The Skull (fortress) itself sits within a large complex, which is also called The Skull, named for the fortress inside of it. The Skull is separated into several sections. The Crags, The Encampments, The Gorge, and the fortress itself all form The Skull complex.
