The "no Fast Travel Challenge"

Hello! I challenge all of you who are taking the time to read this post to complete all of the quests without using fast travel!

Types of fast travel include:
-Tunnel between Ragni and Detlas
-Scrolls
-Seaskipper
-Hot Air Balloon
-Wavebreaker

Substitutions:
-Walking
-A boat


I was going to add a horse to types of fast travel but then nobody would do it, you can challenge yourself though.

EDIT: By not using them I mean don't use them again after the quest

 

This sounds more like a patience-practice rather than a challenge.

 

literally impossible because you need to take the wavebreaker to do envoy 1

All it is playing Wynn, but longer.

 

Well, aint that just troublesome, since you're forced to use the Detlas-Cinfras balloon, and go through the Ragni-Detlas tunnel in quests

I mean after the quest

 

this challenge doesn't seem too rewarding at the end, plus, it's literally just a boring version of Wynncraft. Not many people would enjoy the challenge.

Challenges like "No spell" or "No health potions" are real challenges that could be attempted. Challenges like "No quests", "No seaskipper," or "no scrolls" aren't very fun.

 

I think that the challenge should be to get to level 75 using only pre-gavel content. It's basically the same.



Oh, and make sure that swarms HAVE to be your main source of XP.

 

a challenge is suposed to make the game harder, this just will make it take more time to complete

 

It does make it harder, you can't run by enemies on a horse or the great bridge.

 

In my time there was no horses, no scrolls, and when you were on the bridge you were like :

 

Absolutely right, we all know how hard normal enemies and great bridge are.

Like many have said this is not really a challenge rather a more boring way to play. Also since horses are considered "fast travel" what about walk speed gear?

 

not really harder, also the great bridge is a place you usually goes 1-3 times per class

You are missing the point. Sure the Great Bridge and others like it might pose a challenge without a horse, however, as a challenge, this must cause the player to encounter strife along most of way. The challenge's "strife" comes across as a pain as you are forced to spend large amounts of time travelling with barely any action in between. Moments like the Great Bridge, for this challenge, is just a flash of strife, then back to boring normal Wynn with long tedious travels.

To paint a better picture, I will be using the no spell archer challenge as an example. The reason why this works is because of it forces you to think your actions carefully. Actions like not pressing the left mouse click, how to tackle bosses and enemies and even builds will cross your mind throughout the challenge.

How does the "No Fast Travel" challenge fail where the No Spell Archer challenge does not? The only challenge you have to think out most of the time is: How do I spend my boredom as I travel through places I already saw to get to my destination? This shows the lack change of gameplay style with the No Fast Travel challenge when the No Spell Archer challenge changes gameplay drastically.

I dont use scrolls anyways and its still easy and I very rarely use the airships and sea skipper
