"Oh. Well thank you."

 

If nobody raises, I flip over the next card.

 

"What do you mean?" Xlentia asks, confused.

"Most of us who've stopped by there think you'll be happy with it. Though, there is a pretty big size difference... if you don't mind me asking, what is your wife, anyways?"

Owen bets 20, Al folds, and Percy calls.

 

"Ha, I get that a lot."

"But she's a fox. Or a Kitsune. Whichever one you like."

 

"They were made as weapons both against us and anyone who stood in the way of the light creatures. Now, they've been reversed as weapons that could be used against them." I say.

 

I call as well, then flip.

 

“They could be used against anyone, most of the damage comes from the strength of the target’s life force. You know, the whole brink of death breaking the mind control thing?”

Everyone else calls.

“That’s a pretty big size difference. She looks like she could sit on your shoulder.”

 

"She does."
He proudly says.

 

"Huh, that's pretty smart," I say, "I was considering ripping the souls from people's bodies and then putting them back in again, but that seems better."

 

I call, waiting for the others to show first.

 

“That also doesn’t always work, but you might want to talk to Emerald about them. I don’t really know much more aside from the fact she kept the same look to make you think we kept the old things.”

They seem to be waiting for you instead.

“Well, that’s sort of comical, if you ask me. It’d be like me marrying a dragon. Then again, with that much of a difference, I’d be worried about getting stepped on!” They chuckle.

 

"Do you mind if I go speak to her now? I have a few other questions too." I ask.

 

I casually throw my cards down on the table, face-up.

 

"What kind of weird fantasies do you have?" He laughs.

 

They throw their cards face down at you.
“All yours.”

“I could probably ask the same thing.”

Xlentia shrugs.
“I’m not your goddess. Not like you’ve gotten my permission any other time, so go ahead.”

 

"I didn't want to be rude, is all." I say, before flying off toward the library.

 

Emerald seems to just be leaving.
“Oh, hey, did you find out who that weird girl was?”

 

"The hive master's daughter. Are you busy?" I ask casually.

 

I take the chips, dealing out another hand of cards and flipping over another three for the middle.

 

"I don't have any. I think." He smiles.
