"Excellent. Now, let's go over the manhunt."
Aaand the map of the city gets dragged back out by the second man as he takes a swig of something that's probably alcoholic. Wooden tankard, You can't tell.
"Now, our culprit is whoever stabbed the new boss. I think you met her?"

Yeah, that weird high-class inn.
You return to the scene to find a large amount of guards taking away a somehow larger amount of bodies. The whole place is a crime scene, and there's an almost unconformable amount of blood.

"..Seven."

 

"You mean Fayuma? Yeah I met her."

 

Great, and this wasn't even my doing.

I guess I go kill other players in the rp.

Do I still look like Dez? and if I do how long does the spell last for?

 

Kae stands there her eyes full of surprise. Then, she recollects herself and murmurs, "....I'm so sorry......" Then she asks making more small talk, "....How long ago did he get sick...?"

 

I am becoming reliable in my lack of reliability.

"Good."
He takes out dagger and stabs it into the southeast corner of the city, near the riverfront.
"Here's the location of the stabbing. We've received.. somewhat reliable reports of the weapon being a form of the crystal lance spell. We can't really tell, because it's shattered across 3 blocks. The culprits are some guy in some huge robe and a mask, sitting in a wheelchair, along with some other guy he hired. Don't know where either of them are, don't care. It's pretty obvious our normal plan for this week isn't gonna work."

The lady looks to almost be in hysterics now, like keeping her composure in front of Kae is the only thing letting her keep her composure at all.
"It's been... three months.. we were going to leave for the..."

"Oh that guy. I saw him right after the death squad was dispatched on me"

 

"Um... can you tell me what he looked like? I need to... have him help me... hopefully."

Can I recast it to kepp it working longer? If so. I do that.
Also do I still have that modified Deleyed Bomb Spell book?

"...Miss...?" Kae murmurs. "...Are you okay...?"

 

"Great! You know what we're dealing with already. Our best lead at this point is Maros, who left maybe an hour ago to grab some scrying equipment from the inn we were staying at. He should be back soon enough."
He pauses for a moment, only now taking in what you just said.
"Wait... death squad!?"

"Lizardman, violin strapped to his back. Think he was from the desert? He had a pretty harsh accent, plus he didn't have that weird inflection the marsh ones do. Doesn't pause much with his speech. Has a raven. That's pretty much what I know."

She doesn't respond in a sort of sobbing way that generally indicates 'not ok' for a short bit before a nearby mourner leads her away.

Dez:"Yeah I tried to ask them why they were after me, but then one of them stabbed me, then I jumped out a window and ran away. The guy in the wheelchair was surprised I guess he thought that they would kill me. So before we go after them can I finish my book"

 

"... Um... okay. I don't think I'll be able to recognize him anyways since..."
I gesture at my eyes.
"Um... do you know which way he left?"
After he tells me, I thank him and then leave. I ask Han to tell me if he sees the person (Dez) as I wander the street.

Thorston goes back to looking for Homelessinati members, moving away from the death and destruction.

I decide to talk to one of the captains who is planning on journeying to Forge

 

Kae continues to watch the uh, burial??? Im blanking so hard right now.

 

"Well, we are still waiting for Maros to come back, so sure. Knock yourself out."

It's not more than 30 seconds after you leave the building actually.
"There's a lizardman right there, nya~"
Han nudges you in the direction of what he sees. You find yet another blue spell overplayed on a vaguely blurry humanoid figure. Stands out, being the only full outline you can see, despite the square being full of magic items.

You meander south, away from the murder scene. Despite all common sense, you've returned to right in front of the academy of the arcane's kyuvaar headquarters. You slightly panic for a moment before realizing you're disguised.
Wait.
3 minutes left.
Magic feels thinner in the area, too. Like it's all being sucked up into something. Might not be able to recast it perfectly.

You lean over to the closest one you can see.
Captain: "Forge, eh? Why do ya wanna go to forge? If ya wanna burn our yer lungs early, not my problem."

Small raft carrying the body out into the river.
It drifts out and downstream to the left, disappearing from sight after a decently long time. You blank on this and quite a bit more until you notice a strange glow coming from the opposite direction. Can't see what's causing it, however. Too many building in the way.

 

(Do I know what each magic means?)
I walk up to the figure.
"Excuse me? Did you help a man before with his dragon?"
