I forgot to answer this question before I didn't see the text XD. I forget the exact things I used, but I believe I used two cat combos, maglev, manic lion, manic island, Anubis and Musashi. I used manic lion and swimmer as the meatshields (typically just lion though) since a hypermaxed one can survive two hits from Hermit. I would wait till right after a second shockwave to send out another and it would stay in the same place or move very slightly forward, which sometimes would be good if I knocked it to far back from the base, as you want it as close as possible to your base so you can clear the peons easier with short range attackers like manic island. Then once I had enough money I would send out Musashi and Anubis and typically due to Anubis's long attack delay and Musashi's shorter attack delay, they would hit the strong peons when the other could not. In a panic, I would use maglev to greatly weaken the enemy peon coming to me, and in the case of a ginger snache I would sometimes send out a manic island in an attempt to kill it quickly or knock it back. I believe I only used rich cat, all though it could've in theory been not used, it helped me get a jump start to spawn Anubis and Musashi. Also, Musashi couldn't one hit kill the peons, meaning I would typically have to maglev right after Musashi hit, but time the maglev so it wouldn't get hit by a wave attack which sometimes happened.
Also, besides Queen B, this is the only no continues boss I've gotten the 1% fail on RIP, but that was before I got Musashi from SoL.
It's nearly impossible if not impossible to do it with no wave resistant units though.

 

alrighty, sorry to hear that you had that 1% heath loss, that's just a kick in the balls, but I'm happy you were able to get over it and beat the level.

but here's one small problem on my part... Musashi is the only useful wave resistant unit I have.
my lil lion isn't even CLOSE to it's 40+30 (I think +30 Is max for lil cats)
and the only other wave resistant units I have are zamboney cat (it wouldn't be helpful in the slightest)
and octopus cat (its one level away form hypermax, but it would only be used for killing peons)

im hoping EPICfest or Uberfest when its comes will give something that can resist waves (or maybe Gao or Shadow Gao)

 

i used to play it until summoner's war started to take up lots of space

Ye both Gaos can easily get you past it (Both a level 30 Gao and a near hypermaxed Shadow Gao can one shot the peons). Also I remembered that the combos I used was Contest of Champs and Sportswoman for 10% defense and 10% attack up. If I was to rate them in order for doing this level with wave resistant (besides Musashi) it would probably be in this order best to worst:

Personally I think Shadow Gao would be better than Gao, but it really depends on how high level they are and if you'd prefer clearing the minions or the boss easier. Either way, if you have either with hopefully level 25+, use it.
Togeluga TF (Trigger that triple damage and have fun doing 150k hits. The survive lethal's a nice addition in case Hermit extends to far).
Maeda Keiji TF (Lacks in range but when you trigger his double attack he can one shot the doge dark and nearly one shot the ginger snache).
Akira TF (Pretty much Keiji with more range, but longer attacks and not as much damage).
Anubis (Good range, having slightly less than Akira, but his downfall is his long ish delay with only 50-60k ish a hit. Could be considered a bootleg Togeluga for this level to be honest).
D'artanyan (Literally just a peon killer and will most likely do 0 damage to the boss. He's also moved forward into Hermit's range for some people once Hermit gets knocked back because of his movement speed).

I don't know where either Mitama would fit, but they'd really only be there for the status effect. Both peons can get into the blind spot though (Hermit can't because of 255 range).

Ya Idk why but New York's gotten a lot easier for me since I can just repeat the same strategy. I just wish you didn't have to go straight from New York to the Moon in order to even try the Moon since you can't otherwise. Then again it would make it so easy it shouldn't even be rated Deadly if they did that.

like, stage music then cat base music? or normal music then boss music?
